guys, remind max and denny at the meet about getting some money back from the van rental, in case i forget...i'm not really sure about the exact amount, but i know that it came out cheaper because of a coupon that i had added onto the rental that they didn't discount till after max and denny returned the van.

Another friend of mine recommended a mechanic to me. So we've been in contact for the past few days. He's not toooo busy, so he'll be able to do the job.

So as soon as I get a few more things i'll see how much he quotes me to do the bottom end build.

So its between this mechanic and pete's friend.

I'll take whoever has time, because the coolant leak is definitely getting worse.

 

ok so yesterday..ONCE I got home..first thing I did was take my memory card out of the camera and plug it in to my computer....I try clicking around trying to upload them..and freaking computer says I have to "format" the memory card in order for my pics to download...instead, it deleted every single picture I had in there...
I was BEYOND FURIOUS! sorry guys.

When the computer requires the Camera Memory card to be formatted its for one of these reasons:

a) Its the first time the memory card is being used, and formatting it (to be partitioned), so it can be ready to accept data. The computer/camera can both perform a format.

b) The memory card is damaged, and computer doesn't recognize the partion on the memory card, so it thinks its a "New Card" and decides to format it. In the process, it mighttttttttt repair a damaged memory card (all data is lost though).

Format completely erases all the data on any medium. A delete is recoverable (like after you delete from the recycle bin) with the proper software. But, a format is almost always impossible to recover.

i almost took a crap yesterday with a similar scare. i plugged the cam into the pc and when i was going to load the vids it usually says 0/180 or however many clips there are. When i plugged it, it said 0/0. i was like aw f@#$! but it was just taking a sec to load all the vids. lol. sucks to be you bra.
