from your post it doesnt sound like the tC has these stock so i mustve seen it on my old celica. it had at least one of those flex things in the pipe (no homo). i would think it's what denny said. reduce stress on the exhaust system rather than have fixed pipes that move when everything else does.

it was at the paris auto show in early october. looks okay in the renderings but i dont like how it looks in real life. maybe im just used to seeing the four door version so much - looks like they just chopped the back doors off and forgot to round things up so it flows well. maybe itll look better in person. lol.
