hey guys, i get my car back tomorrow morning finally so the guy told me i need to change my brake pads, i already had bought the red stuff before crashing so it was never put on, do n e of you guys know of a place that will cut my brake discs for me cheap?

 

send me a text tomorrow...i MAY have a place that maybe a good price...but for sure will do good work...

guys, i have bad news... i gotta outta work late today so was looking forward to hopping on the Gratigny to get home. Got to the light, and a Lincoln pulled up behind me. as soon as i got the green and hit second, i floored it.... switched to third, and didnt feel the clutch engage.... switched to 4th... same thing... 5th... again wasnt solid.... after chilling out and driving at like 70, i start getting that oh so familiar smell....

Long story short, my clutch is on its last leg. I get a not so funny sound when i change gears, and it feels like its skipping before it engages... Doesnt look like i'll be hitting any track days till probably after turkeyday or early december. =o( Im just praying my clutch holds out till then.

On a side note... anyone know of a place i can take my flywheel to get resurfaced?

lol dam dude that sucks ___.. u should be chilling and not flooring it lol... it sounds like your clutch is about to give out... i think u need to take it baby style until u get your new clutch lol... do you have it already??

Who was mentioning the other week about their shifter popping out of 1st gear when going to switch from 1st to 2nd? I just had that happen to me twice now in the past few days. Never had that happen before. I can't remember who was saying this had happened to them.

 

That was me....im still tryin to figure it out...but i think it happens, like wen i wanna go into first wen i pull up to a stop sign and am not completely stopped, or just once in awhile wen i dont get into gear fully, cuz i just daze off, lol

I wouldnt worry though...I even had this happen real early wen i had the car, and had the synchros checked and everything....

Ask Pete, he's driven my car, my shifter is very stiff but my tranny is a virgin, with its 35,000mi lololol

I'm around 25-26k now (God, and it hasn't even been a year with having this car yet). I was half asleep this morning when it popped on me so maybe I just didn't have it all the way in 1st. hmmm... I'll have to pay attention more in hopes that's all it is.

Liz i think that happens when either the throw out bearing messed up or maybe u might not have engaged it fully.. it happend to me once.. when i first got the car.. in 5th gear.. but that was it.. never again

both.. but mostly kinda slow.. some are fast.. depends on mods and driver..
