Sometime back I posted some events separately. After looking at the number of views I want to try posting my events in one place.

Sometime back I started a list of Florida Members of this site.
If you see something in this thread that you want to go to in Florida, you might check with a fellow SionLife site member and see if they want to go also. Most of us on the car scene are at the age where we like to do things and socialize with people like ourselves.

I know enough people that I get invited to a lot of things.......sometimes when I don't drive their kind of car. I still show up, kick in something for their fundraiser,
buy something from their vendors, and enjoy hanging out and looking at their cars.
A person makes a lot of car friends by getting along. I park a respectable distance away so as to enjoy the meet without interfering with it.

Real car folks don't care what you drive. It doesn't matter what you drive.

25 January Fundraiser for Severely Disabled Children
I look at the entertainment you get for $15 and this is one heck of a fun night.

Caravan To the Florida Keys 7-Mile BridgeSaturday, January 26th, 2013

The fun begins at Mercedes-Benz of Cutler Bay at 11am with food and entertainment. At 1pm we depart for the Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys with a police escort. Our caravan will be filmed from a helicopter at sunset as we cross the bridge! The fun doesn’t end there! We conclude our Tour at Cabana Breezes, where we will enjoy dinner and entertainment on the water for an exclusive pirate themed evening under the stars!

Ever see a 1/4 million dollar motorcycle?

There is Free admission again this year. Folks this is quite a show. Bring your camera. 10 live bands so far for 2013. Walker Ford is sponsoring The Blues Brothers, Jake and Elwood from Universal Studios at 7-10PM on Saturday. $100 cash giveaway every hour. Miss Full Throttle Pageant/Bikini contest at 6PM on Saturday. Fireworks on Friday and Saturday.

Last year they had a free drawing for a motorcycle. I didn't win it. LOL

Here's what the 17 February 2013 Meet & Greet looked like:
There were about 100 cars, if we count the late arrivals, drive-bys and
drive-throughs. Some cars had more than one person showing up to enjoy hot dogs, chips and chili. The day was sunny with no clouds but a little windy and cold.

At Maximo Park near the Skyway Bridge, we gave away about 200 Hot Dogs, 5 or six big bags of chips & over 150 Sodas/waters & some Great Chili............. all for free. Food and drinks were sponsored by Tampa Bay Pawn.

It was good talking to Boostedracerdad (screen name) and actually seeing their race car for more than 10 seconds.... LOL Knowledgeable guy. We talked distributors. His son's car has a distributor triggering individual coil packs for each spark plug and no spark plug wires.

I was glad that Pebbles and BamBam (screen names) could come by on their way to Key West.They fixed the home made chili. It was great. There were plenty of Hot Dogs and no one left hungry. it was a good day.

New Saturday night meet.
Tampa, Florida Hillsborough County, Armenia and Waters Avenue in Front of Winn Dixie, 9PM.

Folks, I went to their meet last Saturday. Team Hatchimoto Cars are parked close to Waters Avenue. There is a food trailer with excellent Spanish food at reasonable prices and tables set up for people to sit down. There is also a pizza place in the same parking lot.This is a family-friendly event and kids are welcome. Tampa Police Department cruises Waters and sometimes drives through the parking lot.

Since any type car is welcome, bring a friend in case you like parking with a certain type car.
A closed hood is just a parked car. An open hood is a meet! -Bob

From I-275, take the Bird Street exit then one block North to Waters Avenue, then go West to Armenia.

Hey guys, we are the host club for the Orlando Stop of this new mega meet that UTI is doing nationwide. It is going to be free to show your car, free to spectate and will have lots of vendors and shops out there.
