charity events...who wants to help out?

charity events...who wants to help out?
hey, some of you who really know me, also know i'm realllly big into helping the community and charities in the area. i really want to support some LOCAL charities. something that is specific to central Florida.
I'm wanting to plan some events, wether they be shows, BBQs with raffles, other events that may not really be a trophy show (maybe ceritficate er plaque or something, etc.) to help raise money that would go 100% to a community effort, or a charity in the area.
but first i'd like to see who would like to help me out on this project. if we can get a nice group of volunteers that woudl be awesome! i'd love to make it a goal to do a few events maybe 3 events between August and December.
so who wants to help?

great response. well this isnt something like going over to help a friend paint theri house.. this is to help those that we don't even know.
yea maria ronald mcdonald house is a great thing!!!
if anyone knows other charities that are local that need help - please bring it to our attention. i know Joe has a few ideas to bring to the table. but i'd really like to get a meeting set up where we can draw out some ideas. maybe in early - mid august we can start the planning.
let me know what other ideas you all have. and discuss when and where we could have a meeting....
