Does anyone in Florida have any trouble with cops and your exhaust. I jsut got mine in and its prett loud ( i can hear it form in the car) and i just dont want to get pulled over. Im 16 and i dont make money to pay off tickets.

So anyof you have issues with cops pulling you over for a loud exhaust?

 

Don't worry about a ticket for the sound but it will catch the cops attention and they'll then try to catch you riding dirty.

 

I havent had any problems with mine, and i took the silencer off. I got the DC Sports. So you shouldnt have any problems... Theirs a difference between a rice exhaust and I nice sounding Scion exhaust.

 

yeah, its not annoyingly loud, but definalty noticable I have a silencer too but I dont use it

 

what kind of exhaust u have in??
and only time a cop will pull u over if u gun it real hard and it draws attention, but normal speed u should be fine

 

yeah that's all it does, brings attention... I usually don't rev really high when i have a cop next to me

I actually tested a cop on the way home from work last night. I saw him sitting in the median, i quick dropped it down into 3rd gear and rev'ed past him, he didnt do a thing,

I was pushing my luck though,

I'm from Gainesville and those cops don't let you off easy. I had a Honda accord and twice in 1 yr I got tickets for a loud exhaust... Didn't speed, rev, or anything. They just wanted something to pick at. I think cops around college towns like busting us for irrelevant things like that. Maybe you'll have better luck...

What kinda exhaust are you running?

 

lol cops in florida could care less. We have car meets every wednesday night and people with open dumps and BOVs sound them off while cops sit and watch in the parking lot. All they do is check tags and thats it. They wont even impound cars, they are too lazy to do the paper work associated with it.

 

The law in Florida requires you to have a complete exhaust system, muffler, manifold pipe, tailpipe to prevent excessive noise. It also says you can't have cutouts or anything like that. To get a ticket for excessive noise means they have to have a decibel meter, which is pretty unlikely.

However, if an officer believes your exhaust may be too loud they can stop you and check for other violations.

I just got my xB in December, and I changed the muffler within 3 weeks... Been stopped twice by cops, but never for the muffler..

It's got a nice deep tone to it, unlike an over powered civic..

and Redneck... why did you go with the glasspack? is it better than a resonator?

 

custom megan exhaust setup, no problems ever with cops behind, side, front, anywhere.....i'm from gainesville.

i like the sound... it has a deep growl once its warmed up and actully has a pipe out from under the car

otherwise it sounds like a cessna...
