Default BRZ vs 370z Gymk battle

BRZ is normal (i.e. stock). 370z (Gymkhana spec -- not sure what those specs are, but not stock).

While it looked like the 370 was just a hair quicker, it looked like it took a HECK of a lot more work to do it. The FRS looked so composed, and effortless. Good comparo

Indeed, he had to push that baby hard. BRZ was just out for a Sunday drive, making it look effortless. Imagine a slight bump in power and some upgraded tires.

Damn... Just comparing the body roll makes the fr-s look so much more fun!

It's as if the 370 had to use that engine to muscle itself around as the body weight would slow the momentum down a lot.

Couple of things.

The video is from Japan. The FR-S is US only.
Next, butt dyno? They have the same identical motors, so the butt dyno is the same...lol.

Suspension wise, the FR-S has a better turn in, as the BRZ is setup to understeer more due to the difference in dampner rating. Other than the dampner setting they are identical in the suspension department. These cars are 100% mechanically the same car. Difference as I mentioned, is dampner setting.
