Mustang V6 Track Package vs BRZ
105bhp more than a BRZ and they added a $2,000 Track Package to the Mustang.

LoL...so, I throw a set of capable tires onto the FR-S and I'm good then... Don't even have to be track tires, just some Summer performance tires and it will run better at a LONG Straight away track than a 2013 V6 Stang.
It already beat the Miata.

Yeah I agree, I find it funny how everyone clowns on it and whatnot saying it's underpowered blah blah blah. 200hp -- 173whp. Well balanced, performs well. Could it have more power? Sure. But it is a Toyota after all, and they historically tend to be more conservative.
I'd rather have a great car platform to build on then something that costs way too much. Being in the same conversation as a Mustang, Porsche etc seems like a good place to be.

It took 100+ hp plus a $2k track package to give it a <1.5 second advantage. The BRZ is stock, no add ons. Not to mention it's on 7" wheels with Prius tires vs. the Mustang on at least 8-9s with Pirellis. You really can't be that dense.

^Haha, yeah dude obviously doesn't get it.

Looks like it was a Premium V6 with the added Performance Package to get it to 30K. It def needs all it can to get that heavier weight around.

And what of a non Track Performance packaged Mustang....wouldn't that still be similarly priced to a BRZ/FR-S? Would like to see that one.
Notice how the reviewers STILL preferred a BRZ over the V6 Stang. So, if you are a numbers guy then you can go with a Mustang. But if you want to feel connected to the road, then you would be in a BRZ/FR-S.
Much so like the Miata. The BRZ/FR-S is a better Miata. It kinda fills that gap for people who don't want a massive car like the American cars usually are, and who don't want to be in a rather impractical Miata for daily driving.
I can not picture myself ever in a Miata for one. But to think if my bro wanted to ride with me to an event, he is riding in a Miata with me....ummm...yea, that's...ah um.......nevermind. Feel the same when it comes to an S2k with the top down and watching two guys in it. By yourself, or with your chic cool. Not with your bro though lol..
Performance Package for V6:
-strut tower brace
-larger front sway bar and SVT rear sway bar
-unique front springs
-unique front and rear calipers with performance friction pads
-19-inch painted al wheels
-255/40R19 summer tires (Pirelli P-Zero)
-Unique traction control programming
-Gloss black side mirrors
-3.31 rear axle
-Unique engine cover (MT only)
1.2sec lap time difference can be made up in tires alone. Pirelli P-Zero the BRZ and we are seeing it run the same lap time as a Performance Pack upgraded V6 Stang (that some say that because it's options from the factory, it's not considered modded). I'll take TRD options for the FR-S, and say it's stock too if that's the case then.

NOT BAD for 2K.
you would pay that plus more for just a toyota/scion WHEEL PACKAGE....

I agree if it was just a base V6 the BRZ would have a better time. Even in the review with the performance package Mustang the driver still complained of body roll. Still after all they say if you want a driver's car the go for the BRZ.

Be prepared to be laughed at by V6 Pony owners now that we proved that the v6 pony will be faster not only on the straights but on a track as well. You'll be seeing their taillights on and off the track. So what can this car do besides be overpriced, slow, and have a ton of mindless drones following it.

one other thing i say to you is. let a guy who owns a v-6 mustang because at the end of the day i have the car i want and the guy in a mustang has a car that he settled for because, he couldn't afford the 5.0.
