Scion FR-S Preliminary Specifications
#21
The reason for the premium fuel requirement is the high compression ratio, which is also what helps give the 100 HP/liter figure...

The actual curb weight of the production FR-S has not been officially released, but the "we heard this standing outside the back door" numbers are...
2689 lbs
0-60 in 6 seconds
Top speed 143 MPH
Price: $23k
We will have to wait a while for Toyota to actually release the official production run weights.

For $25k though it better be loaded with equipment/features. A super cool body design alone shouldn't add thousands over a tC. If it truly does come in at $23k I fear it will be spartan inside and most buyers will push it over $25k with basic options most cars already come with.
Again, I hope I'm wrong.

I am doubting the $23k part. That was way back when the car was first announced. We are lucky to have it at the $25k price point that has been going around the media lately since the last increase mentioned around $30k before the recent coverage.

What is shown on the interior we can already see on the images for the FR-S, will most likely be standard.
If you look at the interiors of the 86 and the BRZ, the scion interior is less appointed, but still not missing anything that important or mind blowing.
The BRZ is supposed to start around 24k, if that is the start price for it including dual zone automatic climate control, heated seats, push button start, HID headlights with led running lights and brushed metal interior accents, NAV... Etc.
22k is not that out of the question when you look at the scion version that doesn't include all of that.
