They also make the brakes act faster and more consistently. I strongly suggest you read Stoptech's technical article on stainless steel braided lines (as well as their other stuff).

Yes, install was really easy, half the time is spent just making sure the lines are routed correctly and won't contact and getting other things lined up; pretty straightforward. Just be sure to bleed the brakes when you're done. Don't take off the old lines until you're ready to put the new ones on, the system leaks constantly until everything's snugged up.

Cost: about $135 with shipping
The brake lines are a definite improvement over the rubber ones. Since they don’t expand with heat they provide a more consistent/uniformal braking. If you brake like there is an egg between your foot and the pedal then you’re probably not gonna notice the difference. However if you try to slam on the brakes to slow down from like 40 to 10 then you definitely feel better response time and how the force required uniformly increases. With rubber lines it felt like after a certain point braking became a lot harder since the rubber expands…..
Overall I don’t know if it’s worth the $135 for just 2 of them….maybe it should be more like $80-$100 but who knows it could prevent an accident that is much more costly than the above price.
I am planning on combining them with high performance brake pads so will see how that will be, they should be here in a couple of days

haha yeah i was actually thinking about it/wrote a little but got distracted and saved it into a word document. i'll try to get around to it soon as well as show a different way of putting regular LED bulbs for tail lights
