Remote Automatic windows:

-Roll up when I lock the car
-Ability to roll the windows up and down from the remote
-Turns both windows into One-Touch up and down!

module = $50 from Amazon
labor = 1 hour @ $60/hour

total = $110

Now that is hotness. Does it function with the basic stock security system, or is this mainly designed as a tie-in for systems like your Viper?

Im not sure, the box had a list of alarm manufactures that it was compatible with and there was like 10 or 12 of them. You need to have auxiliary button on ur system remote to remotely roll em up and down however the roll up when you lock the car should be compatible with every vehicle. Also, it's awesome because it adds the one-touch up feature to the driver windows and both up and down to the passenger!

Still you should ask scion to be sure

I'll have to assume it won't fully function with the stock system, since we only have arm/disarm/panic on the base key, so you could not roll your windows down remotely but the one touch up/down and roll up when locking the car may still work.

Worth adding this component to a system though, especially during these 100+ heat index days lol

So, do I need to buy a remote too or does it come with it?

All I'm really looking for is the one-touch up and down on both windows and the auto up when I lock the car.

The remote is from the Viper alarm. I'll ask tomorrow the place I got it installed at if they know if it works on it's own. I googled it and it seemed like there are forums discussing the same question

The guy said that it can be wired directly to the lock mechanism!

Here is the location of the switches. IMO this is the best spot.
The top one controls the puddle and the under-dash lights which are connected in parallel with each other
Position1: Both triggered on door switch
Position2: completely off
Position3: Both on directly form the battery

The bottom one controls the sun roof and the speaker grille lights
Position1: Both Off
Position2: Sun roof on
Position3: Sun roof and speaker grilles on

Take the panel off and use a circular drill bit with a high rpm drill

Scion202, where do you get all your LEDs? I'd like to copy some of your mods (puddle lights, hatch light, foot lights, etc), but I'm not sure where to buy them without going broke.

On a somewhat separate note, have you thought about doing a 2-stage system in the foot wells? I'm thinking of having 2 setups under there. A bright one that goes on with the rest of the interior lights and a more accent one that goes on with the headlights.

Thanks and I love the work you're doing on your car.

Im getting everything from superbrightleds.com. You can get much cheaper LEDs off ebay but the ones Im getting are waterproof and have black background. The under-dash leds are from ledunderbody.com

I'm about to post more pics and videos and I'll do some accounting to tell you the cost of each one.

As far as accent lighting goes, I may mess with it eventually/when I run out of ideas/money. The problem with accent light is that you will have to get a potentiometer that will drop 0 to ~4 volts and play around with it so you can find the desired intensity and then leave it or just put in a resistor.
