new mod:
.............license plate on one screw!
so when i took the plate off to bend it back, one of the plastic sliding thingies broke off so now it sits on one screw and a double sided tape

it's good. its a heavy duty double sided tape so no probs and the one screw is tightened pretty well.
and yeah having the front plate sux a$$, and if i ever move to a state that no longet requires it......i will have 4 ugly holes that dealership drilled

yeah 3 years ago i went on a roadtrip and DC was one of the stops so we stayed at a hotel in Rockville. Driving through it was so weird because of how nice and clean and quiet it was, felt like a town of Pleasantville from the Pleasanville movie lol
it was ridic how many nice car there was 2. i figured everyone who works in DC lives there...

Here is a short review of Dynamating the whole car
Obvi the actual Dynamat is way too overpriced so i went with RoadKill made by Stinger. The local car custom place used it cuz it was way cheaper and achieved the same results without smelling like asphalt like other brand do.
I got:
3 packs of a thick carpet pads
1 Bulk kit
1 Door kit
Total cost of $360 and roughly 80-90 sqft
Since I didnt feel like tearing my whole car apart I brought it to the customs place to get it done. It took them 7 hours. They charge $60/hour so it ended up very pricey. So the total came out to just under $800
The pads cover the whole floor, from firewall to under the spare.
Door Kit covered doors and bulk pack covered the roof, side and hatch
The kit added roughly 60lbs to the car
First drive after the install:
1. Noise: During the first drive I almost blew through a stop sign which I did not mean at all. What ended up happening is - the cabin felt quieter so I felt like I was driving slower. When i was driving 20mph, its felt more like 8-10mph noise wise. So the only way for me to quantify the noise reduction is the road/wind noise at a certain speed and as a result it ended up feeling 10mph quiter.
Also lots of bumps and pot hole became virtually silenced out completely. From before id expect certain amount of THUMP from hitting a bump but that pretty much went away completely.
Another thing is that the car did feel heavier, but not in a bad way but rather it felt more sturdy and grounded.
The exhaust was silenced as well but not by that much
2. Sound: Well that's pretty obvi stuff - the bass from the speakers TRIPPLED and the stereo felt louder by roughly 5 increments in volume aka 15 would produce the same loudness as 20 did before.
Im using stock speakers without any subs.
Sad part: After I put in TRD springs, all the noise came back lol, so for those that dropped their cars lower than by 1 inch, i cant even imagine how much more noise it broght into the cabin!
