To me, neither of them would be my choice of exhaust. They both sound stockish and are drown out by the tc2's constant engine noise. I have a flowmaster super 44 muffler that I popped in mine for $125 and it sounds better than those. I personally like the sound of the defendant exhaust.
My opinion, if you want to stay cheap, buy a flowmaster super 44 and and put it in place of your factory muffler.
If you want to spend more, then go with the decendant. The only way you are gonna get that sound is by replacing the mid pipe. That factory midpipe is like a scilencer. But if you just cut out the midpipe and weld in a straight pipe, it sounds like complete crap.

both me and steve already have catbacks. I had descendant
i just sold mine cuz i needed $$$ and it was way too ____ing loud in the cabin because auto drones. If I had manual I woulda kept it
So no catbacks for mine, only axle backs from now on on this car.
what's that flowmaster? where did u get it? got any sound clips?
how much louder is it on the cabin????
and Obvi I agree with you that they arent worth $500.....no ____ing way.

The Flowmaster is a muffler usually used on trucks and old muscle cars and stuff, but since the TC has a quiet exhaust and it has a medium tone, I cut out my stock muffler and welded in a Flowmaster Super 44, with hope that it would amplify the sound and make it deeper. It did exactly that, but not enough to where I'd be happy with it. The tone is deep, but that stupid stock mid-pipe is like a scilencer for the exhaust.
I'll try and get a sound clip of it later, i'm pretty sure I'm the only one with a flowmaster on their TC haha

My exhaust is beyond quiet in the cabin. The only thing I would change is I wish it was louder, otherwise it's great. But the only way to get it louder would be to change the mid-pipe. I'm gonna try and contact different companies and see if they would sell just the midpipe to their exhaust.

Hey guys, one of the tC1 drivers in the Arkansas Skicotics recently had this installed, and he loves it. He also has an automatic, and replaced his umm, HKS (not sure what brand?) because the drown was driving him nuts:

As far as I know, he kept the aftermarket 2.25" pipes, and had the muffler shop cut and weild in the Dynomax.

Wait, dont quote me on the HKS droning! I am not certain on which brand the dude had before, but I am certain he has an automatic. Droning seems to be a problem on all automatics with aftermarket exhausts. I posted that link so everyone here could get an idea on how to fix the drown without losing the aftermarket system.
