my dad had snows on his '94 525i. they worked great. eventually he went with the 530xi when it came out, but it wasnt for a performance difference. hed just rather not deal with snow tires if he doesnt have to.

RWD does just fine in snow and ice. Tires make a huge difference. Only difference is with RWD, you have to be more aware you might fish tail, but track control does wonders to help with that.

Give me a RWD with snow tires over an AWD with all-seasons any day.

Oh, and definitely try the G37. Great car, with a nice ride and one of the sexiest stock exhaust notes I've heard.

I've pulled Subaru Outbacks with rear LSD's out of the snow. This is what's called anecdotal evidence which typically amounts to ____-all.

True, AWD/4x4 is better to get out of a ditch. But FWD has nothing over RWD once you're in the ditch.

I also found driving an AWD Forrester, I didn't have a good sense of how much traction I really had. Footing felt great until I had to stop.

Making of the LED Fog Lights:

1. Buy the water proof LED strips here:

2. get either WFLS-CW30($15 30 LEDs) or WFLS-CW60($27 60 LEDs)

3. You need FOUR 9 LED strips, so 36 LEDs total

4. Cut 9-LED strips where scissors are shown



5. Get one pair of wires from an ethernet cable or other 24/26AWG wires preferably black. Unfortunately ethernet pairs arent black



6. 10" wire is long enough

7. Cut away the silicon from the LED strip to reveal the soldering contacts.

8. Strip the wire and solder to the LED strip contacts( I do that under a microscope)




9. Mask off the strip and using liquid tape spray on the soldering joints







10. Let it dry for however long it says on the can

11. Grab a 9V battery and make sure that the LED strip lights up. While the LED strip connected to the battery, place the soldering join under running water to ensure that contacts have been completely sealed by the liquid tape.



12. Since my wires arent black I painted them with black paint for plastic





13. Heat shrink the joint area for added protection/water resistance



14. The strip is now ready to be put on the car

it threw a couple CELs at me. Then I realyzed that part of it was because it was getting moist because it rains a lot up here and as a result wet filter blocked air...
also its a super tight fit with Cusco

So im only gonna do SRI from now on

I called Takeda and they said they can resolve the CELs with some tubes or a different filter but no money back because I didnt buy it directly from them.

So whoever gets this and has a CEL can contact them with the code and they will try to clear it.


FOGS:

No camera does it justice cuz it gets blinded
In person at night they look drop dead gorgeous.


but I will try to find good angles and aperture...

could you try like a from the side shot or even just a shot to sho how bright they are against something

i had a problem with the check engine light and mine and came to the conclusion that it only happens when it rains and if it gets any moisture the car says hey somethings not right error check me haha actually just painted mine candy apple red and should be installing it either later or tomorrow in the new 2012 but ill take pic and post them on my build
