I found a good deal on tires on ebay. This also means that rolling diameter and weight of tires will be closer to stock
Instead of using:
Tire Size: 245/40/19 (front), 275/35/19 (rear)
Tire Weight: 29lbs(front), 32lbs(rear)
I'll be using:
Tire Size: 235/40/19 (front), 245/40/19 (rear)
Tire Weight: 26lbs(front), 29lbs(rear)
so im taking the fronts that wheels came with and throwing them on the rears
rears will be slightly stretched cuz tires are spec'ed for up to 9.5"
but also I will be removing 12lbs by taking out 275's for 235's
total stock tires(96)+wheels(108 ) = 204lbs
new setup tires(110) + wheels(94.2) = 204.2 lbs

haha love what?
the rule is to have at least as much thread as the width of the bolts
so since we have 12mm bolt, i need at least 12 mm of engagement
with stock wheels we have roughly 19mm on usable thread
with Nissan Rays I had only ~16mm of engagement
its all fine still but I want to use 5mm spacers to make the offset 42 instead of 47
with spacers I only got 10-11mm of engagement and only 9mm with the wheel lock because it is shorter
changing them looks simple enough

thanks man
I cant wait to put em on/for winter to be surely over
Im thinking just putting them on asap and put snow on whenever the weather is expected to be crappy
the 235/40/19 tires and hub rings are coming on tuesday so I may be test driving new wheels next weekend if the weather allows...

well it depends what you need help with, Ive taken most things apart to see what they did. Plus i was the one who came up with the ideas and looked into it myself first to see how doable it was

Installed Weapon R intake
My experiences with intakes:
1. Stock
2. Stock with snorkel delete
3. Takeda CAI
4. Weapon-R SRI
Initial thoughts: I was kind of disappointed with the sound. I was expecting a much more agressive RAT-TAT-TAT sound but it wasn't really there. However I do believe I didnt see much difference because I was using stock without snorkel and it by itself adds meaner sound. As a result the difference wasnt as drastic. If you try weapon-r after unmodified stock box then I am sure it will seem like its much much better. If compared to Takeda then it doesnt even come close. Takeda has a very pleasant, mean, and loud sound that overpowers the exhaust. In quieter car, like my roommate's Corolla, you can hear the intake over everything else but its not really the case with tC2.
Performance: No questions about it, the intake definitely adds more power starting at about 3.5-4k RPM. I did not notice any power loss in the low range. With Takeda on the other hand, I definitely lost a bit of low end torque. It is kinda hard to compare the 2 because I didnt have a light weight pulley with Takeda. Overall the car feels more responsive and less shy to throw the odometer needle into the red line
Cusco Fitment: Definately better than Takeda but still not very promising. We dont really know how the the engine moves when we are taking a hard corner while full on stepping on the gas pedal.... I did put some soft heat resistant insulation in the place where it is most likely to contact
Summary: Good power(almost as much as CAI) but without loss of low end torque. Sound is fine from stock but it you ever heard a CAI, it will be a bit disappointing.

I fix computers, can handle most construction projects (except electrical), but I know no more than the basics when it comes to cars.
So with that as a starting point..............

alright well its not hard to just tap into a 12V source...
whats hard is to find the door trigger aka the lights come on when you open the door.
what did you have in mind?
