so the first car wash it gets and the cover falls off the bumper and lost into the abyss known as the drive through car wash. an employee at a dealer's part's department tells me that it's about 17 bucks to replace, whick is reasonable. but what isn't is he says the piece won't be painted. damn.

 

 

I would check with the parts department again, I believe that part is painted.

 

well just to follow up. i received the part without hassle from the dealership, and as told before i ordered, the part was NOT painted. in the end it wasn't much of a difference, so i dodn't mind it. besides, i might get a license plate frame that involves the tow hook.

what i DID think was a bit funny... the day i went to pick up my part, there were 2 new iq's on the lot that were missing the same part that i bought. why didn't i think of that??
