Default HPS silicone radiator hose kit installed

Well, after lots of begging, and harassing the guys over at HPS hoses I finally got them to custom make me a kit for my Scion IQ. Soon these kits will be available to all Scion IQ owners. The quality really impressed me, and I'm not trying to sell anything for anybody, I paid for my kit just like anyone else would, even more since, I had them custom design it for me for the first time. Ill let the picture do the talking, and you can decide if you like the look or not.

Hello Jonny,

If your engine is the 1.3 model then the hose kit will fit on it just fine, the only major difference that I have found between your engine and mine, is that your engines in Europe and Asia are equipped with a manifold Pressure sensor on the black plenum that is on top of the engine, but the US Scion IQ does not have this sensor, other than that the 1.3 engines are identical, so the hose kit will work just fine on your car.

I hope this helps, I had a great experience working with HPS to develop this kit, and they where helpful. The kit fit perfect and the hose bends are identical to the factory hoses. If you purchase the kit, make sure you tighten your clamps down firmly! When I first installed it I tightened them down pretty good, the way I would with standard Rubber hoses, but apparently silicone hoses require a bit more pressure to properly seal, once I tightened them down a little more the problem was solved they do included all new stainless steel clamps with the kit. I hope this info helps.

Regards,
Daniel

I bought it locally, and to this day they haven't gotten a second one in stock, it was just an ultra lucky find, because it even says Scion on it and fits the car perfectly

Talking HPS hoses close up

Here is a close up of some of my HPS hoses. Great company to deal with, I'm not sponsored, I paid for my hose kit but they are just a delight to work with so I love spreading the word about their cool product. Fit the car absolutely perfect, I didn't have to cut, trim, or do any mods to the new hoses, simply take off the old, and put on the new.

Since you asked about my battery holder, I just wanted to update my picture. Here is the final setup. I'm running the Optima D51 and I custom made a real carbon fiber cover for it, which is made with red carbon fiber and is 3.5mm thick, if anybody wants a red D51 let me know I have extra material and could make another cover.
