Does anybody have any interior pics? Also, (and I'm probably showing my ignorance here) but what exactly are paddle shifters??

^^^ you know... with the close up of this picture i can see why peeps hate the xb. for me it isn't the curves... but the length... by the looks there isn't much room behind the back seats. and the front looks as if there's a big v6/small v8 underneath when most likely there will be lost of empty space in around the engine like previous scions. even if they would have kept the design of the xb the same... it still would look bad. whomever designed this didn't place the seat positioning right.

14 pages based off of two poor photos...

one a side shot and it's all the way in the back...

the other a quarter pannel shot...

the problem is none of these have anything relative to the size of the car...

lets just say stying wise i like the original toaster better. however b/c this car fixes everything thats wrong with the original (read: bigger engine and 6 standard airbags) ... if the price is right i will consider it (vs Elantra Limited, Fit Sport, Versa Hatch) when i am buying a new car this summer.

Allows you to up/down shift from buttons on the back of the steering wheel.

I didn't buy my xB for its looks. I don't care about looks. I care about accessibility, economy, ease of parking in the city, interior comfort, and reliability.

So I can tell essentially nothing about how I will like the xB2 from a picture. But I will like it less if the seats are closer to the ground and/or less upright, if the fuel economy is worse, if the car costs significantly more, if the turning radius is bigger.

well no more jdm parts for the new xb owners, there is nothing like the original. many great feature on the new one though, bigger engine, 4 wheel disc brakes, 6 airbags. i just dont agree with the article where it said the guages are funky in the xb gen 1, i think its great that its out of the way from behind the steering wheel. i think they should have just brought the one from japan but with the bigger motor. well maybe we can swap the new motors into the 1st gen

Of course not, because you never even saw that customer in the first place. Because styling killed the deal as soon they saw one, it wouldn't even have come up as a possibility while on the lot.

Uh, there will not be near as much demand for xB2 as for the xB1.
You could also say people will buy these...about the Chevy Venture.

what's that supposed to mean? As if it's a good thing to be loyal to a car company, reqardless of whatever watered-down design is put in front of you? That's stupidity my friend.

they're on the steering column behind the wheel. you switch the gear shift from drive to autotronic... and you use the paddled to shift up or down... like a race car. whether you want your scion to go that fast is up to you.

There are many different types. Some are buttons on the front and back of the wheel like the Lexus IS300, but most are actual small paddles that stick out from behind the steering wheel as pictured.

jealous of a bigger engine? no thanks. im happy with my 30+ mpg.
