Man, the more I look at this the more disappointed I get. Look at the door handles, they look rediculous and not to mention that random part on the back that used to have the glass wrap around to the back windsheild. Also the front end is so long now. One thing I love about my 1st Gen Xb is how short the front end is. You could park the Orig. xB's anywhere. Yeah, like I said... disappointed.

Since when did the "bubble look" become trendy?

O.M.G.. that xD has got to be the most hideous thing ive ever seen i love the regular xA's ... and as far as the xB.2 again.. it is ugly.. i thought it was okay from the front, but than when i seen the side looks TOO much looking like those Mazda mini vans now, trying to bring back Soccer/Sexy/Fast mini vans.. *Gags* lol.. to ugly for me, but thats only an opinion

(Just for completeness, I commented to Scion HQ...)

Yes, I'm one of those folks who saw the xD and xB2 in Miami, and after much thought on this feel I need to give a bit of feedback. The new vehicles seem to be solid and desirable, and I feel they will be winners, but you have, sadly, abandoned your current xB Classic owners.

Rather than go into a long explanation in this e-mail, I'm providing a link to a public comment I made in a topic at ScionLife.com:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...287934#2287934

I sincerely hope that some of the upper level folks there at Scion (and at Toyota) read my comment, as it is a very sincere comment intended to help understanding of why some of your dedicated owner/fans might dislike the xB2.

BTW, since the xB2 is now a totally different "class" of vehicle, essentially a tC Station Wagon, it really should NOT have retained the xB name. Call it ANYTHING else, but it is not a box! Call it xC - the tC Station Wagon, even.

Sorry about that, but I will be constantly explaining to folks that I have the UUV "City Car" - the REAL xB - not the new impostor. *sigh*

Proud Box Herder,
Tom Losh

Tom
10" is not a huge difference...trust me ..I drive an HHR(which is another 11" longer than the xB2 based off of the 10" longer than the current model)and drove an xB previously, I've never had any problems parking in the city(DC and Baltimore)...the xB2 solves all my dislikes of the xB1 Power and Interior(just judging from the "negative" pic) so far from the one pic I like what I see but will wait for more including one with something else in the picture to get a relative idea of size...

even w/ the "wimpy" engine in my 1st gen, i'd rather have it over that new "xB" and the xD looks like a prius on steroids

The side profile does make it look a lot longer than 10 inches in length. It looks like it's as long as a camry or at least a corolla (178 length).

I hope it's no longer than 10 inches than the previous Xb.. can anyone verify this? Does it look a lot longer than the original xb in real life? It does in the profile picture...

wow... I'm sad to say that this will be steering me well away from making a scion purchase, unless it's for a used xA or xB1

yes, yes i agree the jap bb would have been so much more worthy of being the 2nd gen xb. its cute just like the 1st gen. the new us xb looks bloated to me.

on the other hand 6 airbags and more power is good (but not for the wallet).

Although I wouldn't abandon my tC - I dig both of them and am looking forward to seeing them tricked out.

Disappointed!!! Glad I didn't wait for it, when I laid my eyes on the RS4.0. Man, at first I was hoping it'd be something like the Japanese bB. But the bubble was burst after the Miami Event. Then, i really had my hope on the likeness of a T2B, especially with the cool suicide door and van door. And now, it turns out to be a Station Wagon/SUV/Mom/Cruiser. How NOT Scion can this car be???

Man, I am seriously considering getting another xB 1 ... as a collectible. The Box is gone. IT IS GONE!!!!

I know it's ~10" longer than the original - that seems relatively close to what this image displays.

I can see you're point if they updated the current xB. Either way though the current model needed a change.
