I don't know yet what to think about these models... But this really has me wondering what the tC refresh will look like whenever it comes out..... If there will even be a tC refresh! I am assuming that the HID thing would carry over as well as some other very cool improvements! But I could be just dreaming!

I like what scion is doing overall.

Default new design

Ok this is my first post because I have to comment on this new design.

I hate it!! and am very disappointed, it looks like a PT cruiser or Chevy HHR rip off.
I’m not going to justify its design and try and like it, I just don’t.
I love the Scion brand because it brings small and different Japanese cars to our market that we would other wise never see, I don’t want a compromise, I don’t want something catered to the US market and that’s not what made the xB popular.

I was really hoping we would get something close to the new Japanese BB, I’ve seen it and driven it and I really like it and when I come back to the US in 2 years I wanted to buy one there, but I will not buy this.

Maybe I will bring my 2007 Daihatsu Move Custom back to the US, haha now that car would get some looks or get me killed.

Anyways not trying to bash, just ____ed at Toyota right now, they really missed the whole point to me.

To be honest, I dont like the direction where this is heading. Wassup with "bigger is better"? Scion is making their cars gradually larger and larger. I wish size of the cars stays small.

But from the release of the two cars. I dont like the new xB at all. xD looks a lil different so I'll say it's pretty nice.

What a Dissapointment in the xD.........looks very bland and generic. Nothing bold and outside the box here......

As for the xB 2.0, hideous. The thing looks like a Snoopy-Mobile.

Bring back the BOX!

I ain't digging through 21 pages of stuff, so here's my question.

In the autoblog.com piece, it says that the xD is front-wheel only, but says nothing about the xB. anyone know what's up?

Oh. Boy.

Definitely not what I was expecting...in a bad way.

From the pics, I really am not feeling it...no matter what you do to the car aftermarket wise I just can't see it looking good.

We'll see how it sells.

I think people have to remember with the xD getting the 1.8l motor that it's on a lighter & smaller chasis (yaris) than the current model even if only by 100-200lbs. That should give it more than enough pep to keep up with current tC's. As for the new xB's, they will definately weigh more due to the larger chasis / body & engine. My guess would be just under the weight of a tCs.

I'm not interested in either, though. I bet people will do great things with them. The new xB doesn't have the same uniqueness that the 1st gen xB did. It looks more like another generic people mover from any other manufacturer.

...and a paddle shifted four-speed?!

Well, if it's an '08 I'd guess sometime between September and October.
I talked to a guy in our club that is the manager for Brent Brown Toyota. He told me April.

I see Nissan Versa in the shape of the xD, and I gotta say I just can't get down with the new xB.

I was really excited to see what they'd come up with, but this just doesn't have the character, or likely the functionality that come from as different a car as the (real) xB. My box gets so many looks, and love from other xB "box rockers" and I just don't feel like the character of the new one fits with that.

O.G. xB for life! Rock the Box!

I dont like how the hood opens on the xD, it creates a strange body line there. The hood should of been solid all the way to where the grill begins

rofl! summed it up best

oh well...take heart, fellow gen 1 owners...we got REAL scions when they were still available.

is there a huge rivalry between xB and B2 owners? If not...I'd like to start one.
