bottom line is, it is a first year car...
tC people will tell you of thier issues with first year scions...
the bright side of all this...
it looks like the t2b was pushed to production...
the fuse is the next tc...can't wait to hear their moaning and groaning...

The styling of the new xB also seeks to appeal to new audiences while keeping close to the original box theme. Most notably, the new xB features a high-beltline, a relatively dynamic profile, and a strong C pillar. Features like the semi-recessed headlight fixtures (HID projector units),
the projector is the low beam HID.

it was mentioned in a few articles to have HID's.

Also: Standard equipment will include an armrest, side airbags, and cruise (I know it will be available, I can't remember if scion said it would be standard or not)

is Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with Traction Control (TRAC)" for the xD, so cruise control appears to be standard.
The xB on the other hand appears to have Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with Traction Control (TRAC) as a standard feature.

According to the prnewswire press release "the only factory option
is Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with Traction Control (TRAC)" for the xD, so cruise control
appears to be standard.

level, and therefore become FACTORY options - just like side airbags in the xA or tC.
Cruise can easily be added at the port or dealer, and therefore will not be a FACTORY option.
That still does not address if cruise will be standard or optional, just that it won't have to be done
at the factory.
My guess is it will be a high cost port/dealer option.

from all the pics i've looked at today...
the cruise control stalk was in every shot...and the instrument clusters had the cruise control light option...
i think it will be standard...as adding the control stick will be a PITA to install at port..

they killed it.
the design before showed such restraint.
It had a soul.
this one looks dated already.
the nose is a mess. looks more like the TC than the xb
the slots just look silly.
Like bad Anime.
The new tailgate killed the tail light integration too.
Lost the clean balance.
bummer.
I'll admit it was a tough design to update, but if miata and the beetle can be updated without compromising the soul of the car...so could the xb.

A box on the other hand is a box. You can't change much. Squared corners cannot be changed much, because if you do, it's no longer a square, and no longer a box. It's a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. There's no way Scion could have made any significant changes that would have been accepted by the xB purist. Nor would they have been able to continue to sell the car with no updates. Interest would have slowly waned.
