Easy turbo development... these things will be rockets... and I'd have one in a second if I wasn't pullin' out of the whole show scene.... the modded one in Miami was awesome and these will be way easier to mod for show with the more aggressive lines and better performance ability...
Maybe these will be laughed at less at car shows, as they aren't any longer the boxy lil' wussy engine kids... Drop it, kit it... and power-up it and it'll blow the old xBs away on the road and in the show scene for sure....
The oldies will still be the classics... but these have so many improvements, it's hard to deny that they'll be a better car to drive/show/mod/and now RACE for sure....
the first 300+ WHP xB is now an easy proposition... Haters will be everywhere online, but they definately won't be in front of one on the roads or at a race and I'm sure they'll be behind them at the shows quite soon as well...

My intial impressions are that the xD is alot better. I never liked the xA and I think they improved it but the xB is....not that great. I'm sure a bodykit and wheels would help it but still a loss in gas mileage and a higher price isn't going to have me rushing to the dealership. I'll reserve final judgement til I see what the factory kit and rim options are but as is I may have to go grab up a first gen before they're gone!

Hmm, I think I like the new xB but from this picture I'm not feeling the xD. Even with the new upgrades I'm still liking my xA more. Although, I hated both the xA and xB when I first saw them and I love them both now. Who knows, maybe the xD just has to grow on me. I cant wait to see these in real life though.

Wow.
The new xB looks almost exactly like the t2B! In fact, if you park the t2B and the new xB side-by-side the only differences are 1) the t2B was only a two-door model and 2) the unusual headlights of the t2B. This confirms the new xB is based on the Avensis platform, and will use the 160 bhp 2.4-liter I-4 engine from the tC coupé.
As for the new xD, it's based on the stretched Yaris platform, though the body design is definitely unique. Now, if we can just talk Toyota into putting in the i-CVT automatic into the xD, I'll buy one in no time flat! :D
