I think this tC will do fine. when the 2nd gen xB came out everyone was trashing it just like this tC and it's doing fine. I think this one will do fine as well and as for the price, RS models were around $19000 plus! I like the new design and can't wait to see it in person, the only reason i'm not getting one is because my wife and I are going to get a full size family vehicle next. I do agree that they need to drop a bigger engine like the 3.5 liter V6 in it.

The back is a little funky, but it's a Scion, it's supposed to give you that WTF feel at first glance.

After getting past that, I think the rest of the car looks great and is still a bargain for the price. The tC's starting MSRP was always a bit higher than others, but it's basically already topped out option-wise. Price out it's competition (comparably equipped) and I bet it'll still undercut them.

the rear end makes me wanna gouge my eyes out with a spoon! i've actually been contemplating a new car and when i saw the 2nd gen my feelings got hurt severely!! i think now i'm gonna go with a genesis or rx8. as much as i hate to say it, i think this is scion's biggest disappointment/let-down thus far.

The irony of the journalist compared to the reader's comments at the opposite end of the spectrum! Even pointing out its flaws, this journalist still sided with Toyota. What an optimist.

Tikki, hilarious- "For some reason it seem to me like a cheap dodge knock-off. A perfect example of how to go backwards in design....."

At least it's a nice day for pics of Otay Lake.

Now I'm gonna go back to the 2011 tC thread to hear more of the sound of nails being beaten into Scion's coffin.

Since I got a lot older ever since owning my tC, I rather upgrade to this.

With the TRD stuff you're looking at 21k before tax and it's not even a RS. I think the pricing is gonna hurt the sales quite a bit. It's creeping into Si territory--they start at 22k.

Except you don't have to pay 22k for the Si because you're not forced to pay the sticker price like you are with buying a Scion.

There's absolutely nothing impressive with the new styling, only the car got bigger. I mean that's Toyota for you, look at the Corolla, Camry, Sienna, xB and the xA/xD the only thing they did was make the car bigger! No wonder their cars have trouble stopping!

And this is why I'm getting a Kia, they know how to move up.

And so as Honda

I like it. I want to see one in Super white. Is the car assembled in Japan? Anything Japanese has gone up alot lately. I'm not a finance major, but isn't the yen worth more than the dollar? That could be the reason for the new price.
