Confirmed!!! Hells Yea. My new car is waiting to be made. Man that thing just looks so sleek. The front looks almost like an Aston Martin. But the side body lines do resemble the tC some which I like cause I love the tC.

NEW CAR ASAP
All I know is it better be faster than the hyundai,it needs to come soon,it better not be an FF.Has anyone even seen the Toyota US website???There are no cars on there worth buying that doesn't scream I HAVE THREE KIDS AND A MORTGAGE,MY WIFE NEEDS A VAN AND I NEED A YARIS FOR WORK! F*** THAT!!They need a sportscar/supercar or both very soon. I am definitely buying a TC this year because it gets better gas mileage than my RX-7 and its the only coupe made by anyone that actually looks good and has all the useful standard features anyone else has for much less.

it looks like the 2009 VW Corrado Concept but with the subaru color scheme. IMO i think its ugly and should be aborted now. tell subaru to buzz off, they destroyed the WRX! we dont need them destroying our cars.

I'm all about it. I'm ready to put money down, in fact what I was used to making a car payment is going in the bank for this when it comes out.
I believe the base model is supposed to be the 2.5 NA DOHC RWD. There probably won't be any bolt ons that truly add good amounts of power to the NA model. Knowing Subaru it'll already have a factory equal length header Then the upgrade path is possible all the way to the STI drive line, but there was no promise of turbo and RWD from anything I've read yet, but definitely turbo and AWD. I love AWD don't get me wrong but possibles 300 ponies form a re-tune on a modern day wrx w/exhaust is capable from 2002 to current.
As far as they ruined the WRX, well they made a car for what they were asked for by the people who use their car in WRC and similar events. Bet you didn't know the even the WRX thermistor in the up-pipe is really a recoded anti-lag with a different sensor instead of another spark plug or igniter. I myself find the newer versions of the STI amazing in someways and short in others. Years ago some muscle-car fanatic who picked up GT2 was complaining about why is there only 1 car / generation when you can get 6 different evos and STI's from 10 years, well its the same answer. To be honest its like the new Civic Si vs last years model, the older one was not only more fun to drive but faster as well. In this case they got faster and lost some of the "feel" that made it a car. The fact people still think car manufacturers make cars for people and not their own gain isn't' very realistic, but hopefully this is a change for Subaru and their involvement with Toyota. I like and have owned both products, (was in one while an SUV totalled it.)
As far as looks go, all new cars look like crap. its how it is, but Isee more Impreza and Legacy then TC or Celica. In fact I see body lines my 1g DSM had on it, (very low drag co-efficient car,) and the some lines my Integra had, and its funny when I photoshop my brothers TC, over my old Itnegra and old Laser how much they were alike as well. Unfortunately when you depend on math and science things all begin to look the same, i only hope they give it a more unique look for its own sense of individuallity rather then depending on doing that with the dash and interior.

Second pic; looks like it has Lexus features. But if it looks more of this pic...I'll make room for another Toyota made coupe.
The first pic kind of looks like a new gen Civic. Egg shape for the worst.

I really hope this is something nice. I've been following this story ever since Toyota bought shares of Fuji Heavy (Suburu). It's possible this can be considered the next gen Celica, but obviously with a different name. It's pretty much what we can compare it to since they discontinued it when the Scion tC came out. The styling cues of the assumed renderings look fairly similar to what a Celica is.

That's how they can claim that the Corolla is the "best-selling vehicle ever," even though the name has been applied to nine different generations of vehicles.
It's also good business, if the name has a good reputation. Former Toyota owners are more likely to buy another Toyota if the familiar name is still available.
