I can't imagine all of those colors being available. The red, orange and yellow have to be RS colors. And btw... YELLOW?! WTF? BLAH!

Well, the xD has the Barcelona Red Metallic, why not make a red for the tC? But I agree on the yellow. I have yet to see a yellow car that I liked, outside of certain Lamborghinis.

 

That's a good point. They need to use the red from the fiveaxis version. THAT is a good looking red. And make that a standard color.

 

I honestly can't tell. It just doesn't look like a good color for the design.

Yeah I like Absolutely Red but I don't think it would look as good on that wide-body kit. I see they're using Speedway Blue again even though it was just used as the last RS. They should have left Cement in the vault and made Blizzard Pearl standard.

 

i dont like the boxy look at all. i think the exterior and the "boxier" interior bits are awful. but the quality is up. the gauges are really nice, along with the wheel and seats. the shifter quality is also up. six speed is awesome.

but there is NO WAY the rotor size is 16". that would be amazing. but the pictures totally dont show a 16" rotor.

 

Looks like that the color at the NYC auto show is super white, not cement. Cement is like a puke brownish color.

I like that it may come in orange and yellow. I would totally rock those colors. And it appears that Scion listened to us on this topic as many of us asked for better stock colors for the Scion line. Maybe this means some of these will become stock for the other Scions also.

Sucks that the rs6 color (speedway blue) is looking to be a standard color on the '11. That makes the RS6 an even bigger fail than it already was.

It also looks like the FM color is now called Magnetic Gray Metallic.

Yes, for the most part your butt o meter will notice it. Even if the car weighs more gearing can make up for that.

The xA had no love from the first day it was released to the public. The xB1 lost its magic when everyone started making cars that looked like toasters.


Yep and then they will all have their doors blown off by a Cobalt SS or Mazdaspeed 3.



I have mixed feelings on the redesign, the exterior front reminds me to much of a xD and the rear is just meh. The bump in power is nice and of course expected since the 2.5l is the now the standard big four banger from Toyota. The interior itself is different..not horrible just different. I would have liked to see a full gauge layout instead of the normal tach, speedo, fuel level and odo since this is suppose to be a touring car.

 

Which isn't quite the same color... Mag Gray is available on the xD

 

Scion seems to do better with creating cars then redesigning them

To be fair, this was AFTER Scion stopped making cars that looked like toasters and left a hole in the US market it created.

To me it doesn't look bad but it's not necessarily great either but I'm going to wait till I see it in person to make any final judgements. As far as the exterior goes it seems like they took the current generation and squared a lot of the body lines vs the smooth round look that they possibly could because from certain photos it still looks eerily similar to the first gen. The interior on certain aspects seem like a step up but it seems like it won't be as easy to take apart and paint but guess we'll have to see. The taillights are ok but the front looks pretty good overall. It's nothing that will make me want to trade my 07 for though cause to be quite frank I still love my 07 and I want to have a fully paid off car lol.
