Judging by how much the 5A lip kit was originally, I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted at least 2 grand for the wide body.

Combine that C-pillar with those ridiculously huge rear headrests and you have the worlds largest blindspot...second only to a panel van.
3rd to a panel van. 2nd would be the xB2, it's c-pillar is so big it has it's own storage cutout.

For a turbo, C/R was needed to be increased so that fuel economy wasn't sruck at 20 MPG city. Sucks, but CAFE and competition are driving MPG. You can always do what us 1NZ-FE owners do, run 5-8 psi on stock C/R and if you want more just do a piston swap. Rod too since you're already in there and then you can go big without blowing the motor. Don't forget ARP studs though, head bolts suck.

Anyone else notice, the spare doesn't appear to be the nasty cream color anymore, or did they already change that for 08 or 09s?

I like it. It looks more masculine than the previous one.

I would never want a heavy 2 door coupe though.

Yes, in my Z28 days their were several LTX/LSX guys running boost on engines with stock 10.5:1 compression...you just can't run much boost. Turning up the compression increases MPG while producing a little extra power Toyota would be nuts to run a 9.0:1 in these cars.

Though to be honest, the rear seat wasn't really useful for anyone over 5'2" anyway. Midgets and newborns were the only ones who thought it was comfortable.

P.S. - that is a huge airbox too. Where is the pathway to run a CAI? It looks like it goes DOWNward instead of routing to the fender area.

back seats in a 2-door like ours will always have little head space. They can either 1) create a longer roof line or 2) use bucket seats. Looks like they did both.

Yes, until they stop making them all together like what happened with the 1gen xB. Some parts will live on longer than others, and with more overall tC's, that should help keep things in production for a bit.

Look for super cheap dealer accessories about June of next year, if you know a friend at the dealer you may even get free stuff as they purge them from inventory. I got an alarm, rocker panel trim, pedal covers, interior lighting kit, etc. this way. They'll also probably be up as prizes at any dealer show.

it doesn't say AUTO on the switches, but says ALL AUTO right underneath them

So, you like having plastic covering the engine? You want an engine bay that looks like this?

(I realize that it's a Lexus, easiest example I could think of.

No I don't want an engine BAY covered in plastic, but having the engine ITSELF covered was a nice touch in the tC1.
