so far I like it! I do believe that scion is about two years late in the redesign of the tc. Its not enough for me to trade mine in as I am holding out to see what the ft-86 brings to the table. From a side view it does look a lot like the fuse concept which is kind of cool.

However, I do see some positives i dont know if its scion listening to us or if the times call for it, but the front is very aggresive and has projectors and we now have a six speed! Nice factory wheels, I almost thought that scion would use the same damn wheels again lol!! Also amber turn signals in the rear!! I hate the all red on my tc and dont want to switch to tycs.

Negatives-the rear is squared off and does not seem to flow well with the front, looks like an xd in the back. Odd shaped lip spoiler.

Does anyone know if the lug pattern is 5x100 i dont know if i missed it or somthing. Those wheels would be a nice back up set.

The iq is exactly what i expected i wouldnt buy it but its a nice addition the line up and its a nice little car.

I really think scion should add a little truck I think that would be cool..sorry im rambling on and on just had to let my thoughts out over a few beers. overall though thank you scion I dont want this brand to die!!

sigh.........

i like the front, its blah, but looks ok, the roof line killed it for me, i love the arc on the 1st gen tc roof line, this looks horrible, sigh.......

few things i do like is the front seats, they definitely look more contoured and remind me of genesis coupe seats which i loved, sure, they may not be super suportive but they sure look better then our current couches.

holy F, scion seriously messed up with the interior dash design, i mean WHAT! THE! EEFFFFFF!!!!! they took a nice **** HVAC and turned it into crap, lol

this makes me love my 07 so much more now, with my 7 speed AC controls, lol

yellow spare ftw lol

is it just me or does the interior look really cheap?

the only thing i like about the rear is the amber turn signals and the little scion logo in the tail light....other than that they really messed the rear up;

yea on the one side it was always black, but apparently they are changing the creme yellow from the other side to black now too. unless it was just that chunk of new cars to randomly have it all black

Yes I do. But still, this is a much better setup than the one for the 1st gen. I hated the one they did for the gen1.

This one would actually sell. Wish they would mass produce it.

The interior of the IQ is better than the new TC. I think what happen is that people who are in research and production of the new TC didn't really care about the whole picture. Yes, they listened to our suggestions but they were more in a hurry for a new generation. As a result, a disaster. They should have improve the TC as a whole package. But they just improved some cosmetics in the exterior, the engine, tranny, and butchered the interior.

Wish away.... there would be so much custom work involved in getting a wide-body kit on the car that it surely won't come from Scion through five axis like the xB2 kit (which can be dealer installed and is a basic lip kit), and It'd be a huge long shot to mass produce something for it...

I'm sure they'll be other WB kits out someday, but a wide-body kit like that, with all the work to mold the kit to the car on TOP of the price of the kit, plus repaint = WAY too much money for the normal consumer...

How much they want for a BASIC lip kit for the xB2, think how much a whole wide-body kit would cost just for the pieces, none-the-less the installation, molding, then repaint of the car. 4k-6k add on to a 16-17k car.... nope (and that's cheap figures, as that rear diffuser looks like BANK). Not to even mention the suspension and wheels that are with the kit there...

any estimates on what that 5-Axis car has on top of MSRP with BBK, wheels, WB Kit and all the interior work???

probably more than the MSRP of the tC2 will be all-together.

....and LED tails. But I bet they'll do one or both of these during the 'refresh' of the car that'll come a few years later. Just like they added projectors for '08 and clustered-mazda3-style tails.

the car looks like a tC but 5Axis drew it ( Fuse) and CALTY refined it. if 95% of you don;t like this, don't hold your breathe for the 5Axis/CALTY designed FT-whatever we get if we get it. it will sell well. theres a market for everyone. Scion can;t afford to appeal to the OG's. they need everyone on board or the company will fail. this car will sell whether you like it or not. so when they show up at ours meets, you can tell the owners their car is ugly if you don;t like it. I'm not entirely sold on the rear end yet.

I've been looking at this thing all day and still don't know if I like it or want to roll it off a hill. Interior is okay if not better in certain places then the current gen but fails miserably in other places. As for the outside, it looks like the Fuse, FT-86, GTR, and WRX sedan all did the you know what and gave birth to the new tC. The design has me confused...For now I'll be keeping my current Gen until I figure out what Scion is trying to do here. Hopefully someone from Scion sees this thread.

I'm still on the fence about this. The first look had me immediately thinking Dodge. Looking at it more, it's starting to become more appealing but I need to see one in person to really decide if I like it or not. The dash is a huge let down but the I like the seats and steering wheel.

tC1: Fell in love with it the moment it debuted. I knew it was going to be my first car purchase.

tC2: Hated it when it debuted. Now (even after a few hours of seeing it), I'm beginning to approve of the look, minus the rear tails... and I'm starting to see how it's evolved for the better. Still on the fence though. I guess it's one of those cars that don't look good in pictures but look awesome in person? Also, if they fixed the rattling issue, THAT has got to be the big surprise.

FT-86:... it better be what they say it will. The IS-F and soon to be GS-F and LF-A is just too high up there to be an entry level sports car. Toyota needs to fill in that gap that the ft-86 is "promising" to bridge.
