Oh man, this will be the first time I think I have ever used this phrase.
Epic, and I mean EPIC fail on the new TC.
Epic.......oh...........That's all I got. So glad I bought an 06.

Food for thought...
The girl standing next to the new tC said they think the pricing will be something like $19k-$20k. I don't know how close to that it will be - but that's what she said.
If that's the case. Even if it is only $19k... that's absurd, IMO. But there you go.

This is exactly what would cause me not to buy it. It should be 18k at the very most. Spec versions would be nice even cheaper w/o the 18s. When do you think they will be available to test drive?

19 will not be a bad move. You have all the limited addition tCs that came out with that price range. So Scion knows people can afford to finance a few more bucks. Your getting a bigger engine and a better tranny. How can you say this is a bad move. IMO thats just being to demanding and unrealistic if you think the tC will be under 19 but we will see when it comes out.

I know this is only a dream but I think in order for Toyota/Scion to sell the number of tC's they're projecting it seems like it would need to come in at ~$16.5K. Once they go into the ~$19-$20K I think there are more cars out there that are comparable, if not better, than the tC. What do you think?

When I got mine in 05... I think it was $16k even... I was really hoping for about $17k with this on (obviously less would be awesome, but have to be realistic). You also have to consider that it'll go up in subsequent years by $500 or so as most cars do... so 2 or 3 years from now, we're going to be over $20k for not that much car (not $20k worth of car anyway).

Looks like dodge designed the new tc. i wonder if its a bored out 2azfe or a whole new engine. lets hope potential 6 speed swaps can happen. but it did look like the redline was around 7K so a little taller gears would be nice too. there could be few ups to this car. but over all it looks cheaper than the 1st tc.

in lines with the talk about pricing...
these essentially are economy cars so i am wondering why this thing (even the current tc) has 17" / 18" rims stock... this would save a few hundred $ to the customer if it came with 16" steelies and then let the customer buy rims THEY want... just like the xb - comes with steelies/hubcaps and then you can customize it.... scion would then be able to keep the price down making the car that much more appealing.
i dig the new tc but it would suck if it was closer to 20k. my shot in the dark guess is that starting is going to be 17k for the manual, low 18s for the auto.
