i can't wait until it comes out. i saw those pic's a few months back. it still looks damn sexy to me. those wheels remind me of the gallardo wheels.. most likely they will be using a modified 4.6L from the LS or a 5.0L from the LS600hL. we will see when they reveal more info.

Look towards the hybrid frontier for the new Supra. 3.5L prob, but prob with HSD (bybrid synergy drive) as well. Don't expect to see turbos - Toyota learned with the last one, and we make enough HP without them lately. My guess - GS450h platform, shortened wheelbase, similar output. Keep your eyes on that car.
Can't name my source - let's just say "the internet told me so".

And BTW, there is a coupe IS and a convertible IS on the horizon. It's funny, you know, that the IS followed the Mk IV Supra and used its chassis, but it will be the other way around this time.
Either way, it will be cool.
Hell, Toyota could release the 98 Supra RIGHT NOW, and it would sell out immediately. The turbos made the insurance too expensive.

Someone who could afford a Supra TT would have to contend with ridiculous insurance premiums cause of its layout. No backseat to speak of, twin turbos, etc.
I'm sure Toyota could have sorted out the emissions issues if they really felt like it.

I hope they don't make the supra a hybrid... that's cool to have instant tq and good gas milage, but that kinda undermines the whole theory and philosophy behind a sports car, plus it'd be too quiet. Who wants a quiet sports car?
