Default Is it really the new 2008 scion ?

I thought it was really a 2008 scion tC after reading the news from leftlanenews.com. Soon after I read that, I sent an email to Scion through the customer service email form available at scion.com and here is the reply that i received.

Response (Israel G) 02/08/2007 07:08 PM

Thank you for contacting Scion.

We appreciate your interest in Scion. Unfortunately, there is no information on a 2008 tC. You may be referring to the 2007 tC 3.0 Release Series that will be in show rooms sometime next week. Or, you may be referring to our Next Generation models: the 2008 xB which will be available late Spring 2007, or the 2008 xD which will be available in the Summer. We have links to info on all of these models down below.

Please feel free to contact us should you have any further questions or comments. We would be happy to assist you. You may contact us directly at 1-866-70-SCION or by email at Contact Us.

Thank you for your interest in Scion.

I really dig the tail lights.

I don't like the head lights though. They are 'fake', if not in look then for reals. Fake stuff makes the car look cheaper then it is. I think bottom line, you combine the fake look of those head lights with the grill and you get a more econo looking car.

I will be ordering those tail lights though. Maybe that deck. =)

The current grills are muchhhh nicer....the tails are ONLY okay...and the headlights/projector looks funky....I'd prefer it to be like the smooth rounded projectors....I'd take the o7 RS tho...the o5 FM of mines is getting old...Plus I still want them steering wheel controls.

I would have settled for a reliable engine and supercharger that would last more than 16,000 miles...

I'll put hard cash down that its the same decks available to the 08' xB and xD. So head to scion.com/nextgen and take a gander at their deck options... oh, and aftermarket decks are always better than stock.. pioneer or not.

Headlamps are weak.. too bubbley.. makes me think Neon. And, No, those are NOT projectors (at least projectors like you'll see in the 08 xB, or the mazda 3, which is weak that the 3 has em, and the tC doesnt)

Tail lamps are nice. they look aftermarket as well, however im not sure they're for me.
Grill = Dumb
the hood against headlamps thing: my tC looks like that.. yeah its weak, but whaddaya gunna do?

Overall, im pretty sure this is just a very minor update to 1st gen tC's so it doesnt feel left out with the xA and xB make overs (tho im not sure why adding a different letter to the xA will make it sell any better, and dont get me wrong, i like the xA's just fine )

Agreed, the `08 headlights are not projectors. The ebay ones even have projectors! It is merely a freshening of parts that appear to be compatible with MY `05-`07, and not worth a trade-up to a whole new tC.
