If size equals safety then we'd all be driving big rigs. Too bad it's the 1.3L, if they had the 1NZ-FE I'd move my built motor and turbo out of the xB in a second, I'd find a way to make the piping fit

At the DC auto show we had two regional managers to talk to, and yes I got free stuff. So fat all I'm missing are Scion shorts and socks and I'm set. Already have a bag, jacket, shirt, hat and even boxers, all free from shows. Come to think of it I have about 7 hats.

Don't worry about tech support for the Tata Nano, with our economy they'll probably outsource their call centers to the US.

I went to the NY Auto Show a couple weeks ago and came across this car. I was impressed with it. I think it looks better than most of the cars similar to it. I didn't even mind the green so much either.

1.3L, 96HP and 50+MPG ... sounds decent to me.

It would be cool if there was a race series for these cars, and Scion paid pro drivers from across the racing spectrum (rally to NASCAR) to race them 2 or 3 times a year on unusual courses like anything from city streets to dirt ovals. Kind of like MicroMachines for adults.

It is a nice looking car. I couldn't see myself driving because, it looks way too HIP-HOP for my taste.

That would be awesome if they made a one-make racing series for it, like the TDI Cup... emphasize driver talent

I'm curious to see what the production model will look like. Probably toned-down, but I still want one!

It doesn't really matter what it gets there or here, my gen1 xB gets about 40mpg and i drive it on a daily basis. It all depends on how you drive.

I would love to put this car in the back of my xB.

The IQ is very ugly in my opinion but the mileage is impressive!

i'm loving this car especially in green, but i'd vinyl graphic it up and put a huge antenna on it to get the appearance of an RC car. Maybe an aftermarket rise kit with some offroad tires to complete the look and attempt rallyX when it gets older/paid for would be fun too.

My only question, why has Toyota never looked into going with a rotary engine for these little cars. My chief complaint about the XA XB and the Toyota Yaris has been they shake in the seats at the stop lights too much. I know i've gotten spoiled driving RWD and an FR layout AWD over the last 4 years but, such wonderful cars if they wouldnt' shake at stop signs. That and we know Toyota engineering could build an awesome rotary, less moving parts = less shake.

Hip Hop? I've been listening to Hip-Hop since I was 10 and rappers wouldn't be caught in a car like this or a Mini, Smart car, etc. Rappers typically have a fleet of Cadillac's, BMW's, Benz's, etc. I live in a predominately black city and rappers influenced everyone young male to buy a 300 which PREVENTED me from getting one. I don't want a car that everyone has on rims and I don't really wanna own a Chrysler.

too ugly for my taste, they did too much on the body. then again its probably just a prototype kit on it. I might learn to like it.

Iwas actually interested in the smart car, it was lucky to get 40mpg, and required premium fuel. only had a 2yr/24,000mi warranty too. I'm sure toyotas would be better. if this is released in the US, its going to dominate that smart car.
