I can only imagine the sales of an entry level 2 seater coupe. Think of a small car w/ the newer engine and all the typical "base model" accessories that Scion already includes....who wouldn't jump on that?

id like to see something rally oriented. Something with no stereo, 2 seats, no carpet sound deadening, power anything, AWD and the 2azfe with a map sensor ecu so turboing it would be easier. Subaru did something similar awhile back with the wrx you could get it absolutely stipped.

4th model
I think the FJ Cruiser is supposed to do that (even though it fails rather miserably at doing so)
The FJ blows the Wrangler away!
independant front suspension for one thing. way more streetable with nearly the same off road ability. If Scion came out with a wranglerlike vehicle it would hopefully be more like $17,000 not $25,000 like the FJ.

1. How about importing the 4 wheel drive older bB that's available in Japan
2. How about a convertible xB? See: http://www.clubxb.com/forums/f2/1020...onvertible-xb/
3. Or an open deck xB like the 2002 bB in Japan.

Maybe a bare-bones Scion-branded light pickup truck? Something smaller (and therefore different) than the Tacoma perhaps...
just a thought...

I still don't understand why TCC never offered it here before moving on to the Gen2 xB and new xD?

I like the Open Deck idea. Its cute and reminds me of our 1st gen xBs. I really like the two toned interior. Alas, it will never come to pass I fear. It will either be a suv thing or a super charged coupe/sedan thing. But I'm hoping its something small with high MPGs. I would have bought the Yaris 5 door hatch if they'd brought it over.

Another Box?
I know it's another box, but the Bb would fit the Scion American market.

I agree with Tomas' opinion (from other topics)that the Materia would do nicely. It feels like the sister to our boxes that's been away at boarding school and is now back to cause trouble.
If only, that green one is killer.

This vehicle would be great cuz there's nothing like it.
How does that sound?

(I seem to recall the word from Toyota being that they would not build a diesel unless it was possible to make a 50 state model, and since some states have flat outlawed them, that's unlikely.)
Love to see the Materia (or better yet, a LHD bB - I like the styling on the bB better than the Materia) come over, but I doubt that will happen.

I'd love to see some sort of a Rally inspired vehicle.... whether it be a coupe, sedan or hatch.
AWD would be a plus too.
However, I just read an article the other day about Toyota throwing around the idea of a next gen Corolla with a V6 and AWD due to the fact that the Yaris is fitting in nicely as the econo-box of the Toyota stable and the camry has the older generation now.
I'd be all for that!

1. Yeah why didn't they just make the xD a redesigned xA? If there was to be an "xD" it should've been a hybrid.
2. I don't like the idea of a rally inspired car or V6 2seater car because that takes away the image of Scion as a car for a Young buyer with low income seeking a stylish car with economy in mind.
3. They should make a new tC like they did the xA and make it a sedan along with a coupe convertible just to drag in more young buyers (maybe a tS for touring sedan instead of touring coupe? LoL)
4. A SMALL Pick Up would be great, but not like that bB because when you first see the bB you don't think of a "Truck". It should be AWD and a little strong not to haul another car but to carry a 4-wheeler in the back, oh and under 18,000. A vehicle like that would leave Scion with a substantially larger market. I would know because I live in GA where all my friends drive trucks big or small as long as it could get some dirt on it.
Scion has their SUV-ish car IMO the xB, they have the eco car the xA/xD, the sporty car the tC (hopefully there will be a "tS" ", now they need the off-road fun truck while keeping their image.
