RS 4.0 xB, as you know is the 3R2 (Mazora) Don't have any details on the package, but is going to resemble the bB version.
RS 3.0 xA is 8T4 (Stingray Metallic) Was able to see a color swatch of it at a Scion Champions Event in January. Nice color, IMO.

Because this type of paint is considerably more expensive than your typical base coat/clear coat system. It also requires additional labor to apply. From what I understand there are not only additional steps in the application, the application it's self is specialized. You have to lay down the coats in such a way that the correct pigment is picked up when the light hits it from a given direction.
If all of the procedures are not done properly the new paint could end up looking WAY different from the original. To the point that when the original paint is showing gold from a given angle the new paint is showing red.
This is the exact reason that when the original "Mystic Cobra" was released owners were paranoid because painters were telling them if they wanted ANYTHING painted, they would have to re-shoot the WHOLE CAR.
Trust, there is a HUGE difference between this type of paint and standard Scion colors. Yes, even other custom mixed paints that include pearls, metal flakes and candies.

I guess I love my paint guy because everything he has sprayed for me in a special color has been a dead match. Never had one problem with it and never had a customer mention it not matching either. Im pretty tough on my paint guy so he knows to get it right the first time whatever it takes...
...SET and CAT operate on much different DD systems and the information for both are entered seperately since Toyota owns CAT but not SET. Thats why things show up at different times in both regions.

For a little more information on the actual Nippon Paint that was used on the last special bB of that series, try this older post:

My girlfriend said the same thing. Awwwwww, it kinda looks like poop. I had a customer say "diarrhea"!!
I'm trying to like it, but its hard. I really wanted the last RS for this xB. Maybe if I see it out in sunlight, and if it's loaded with some sweet options, then just maybe...

Well, I just showed the pics of the Maziora bB to someone and they said it looked like rotting meat - that shiny, off color look over dark red...
(Personally, all I can think of when seeing that sort of paint job is "Not on MY car for everyday use!!!" NO WAY do I want to even consider having to fix so much as a scratch on that kind of finish!)
Good for a trailer queen, maybe, but not for a daily ride in the real world.

like it was said a few months ago by forbs mag or something like that, Scion.com is useless for any real info.
sites like here help me find things out before the dealer would
now about MHO on the color.
i think te color is awesome. i like the color shifting paint very much. it looked good on my mountain bike a few years back when i sprayed it.
color matching will be a _____, i would love to see it work though.
the pic that darren(scionlife) has is under the wrong light. it looks like crap there but i bet in the sun or any natural light will really make the color work.
i thought a green xB was going to be horrible. but when i saw it at the dealer, the metallic in it was perfect. But i still love my black cherry.
