Scion xB Unleashed in Chicago BODYKIT + WHEELS!

Not huge fan either. But it was expected. The xB was basically identical to the JDM car with some minor 'Americanized' ascetic changes (ie. bucket seats, etc.) The 2nd generation was bound to be a completely 'Americanized' version inside and out (bigger is better, more power, more luxury less practicality, etc)
Just look at European sports cars, they are small, lightweight, insanely fast cars with relatively low HP ratings (think 911, Lotus Elise, etc) Then look at American sports cars (Corvette, Viper, etc), they are big beasts that weight a ton, but have HUGE engines that pump out crazy HP numbers.
Japanese & European philosophy = Less is more
American philosophy = More is more

that 5axis kit should be available for the xB as soon as the car hits the dealerships. I understand that we will be selling that as a dealer installed option... very cool, i think...
I have said it befor and I'll say it again, I guess it is time to start the waiting list.

since when is a custom paint job, body kit, and rims considered "a little bit of mods"?? Thats at least $5000 extra considering those colros arent stock colors..
I do however think it looks alight modded but it is not longer a box which was the point of the xB.

the original XB was cool because it wasn't trying to be cool. It was a friggen box on wheels, function over style. Now that they have tried to make it all "stylish" - big c-pillar, smaller greenhouse, even the antenna on the roof, it is a disappointment to me. If Toyota is trying to change the perception of bland design, this is not the way to do it.
The interior of this thing (go to autoblog) is such a waste of space.
