A 4 cyl is nothing new for a small "truck" like vehicle. My 94 Ranger had a 4 cyl automatic that was WAY less than the ~160hp of the 2.4L. I still got around OK in it... slowly... but I got around.

It'd be pointless with a 2AZ. Hopefully it'll be a 4RZ and AWD or RWD.

Not the Open Deck---but would be a very welcome addition to the line. A good marketing tool also to get people introduced to Toyota trucks. And here we go already asking for bigger motors!!! Can't we just have some great MPG cars.........

I strongly agree with it being AWD. Introducing an AWD Scion could provide a jump point for future AWD models

It would definitely do better as an AWD... but there's no way they could do that at a potentially $12k price point. Maybe an option? But I doubt that as well for some reason unless the base is RWD...

The current Taco 4-cyl engine would be nice due to the good amounts of torque it produces. But you can slap a S/C on the 2AZ to give it more omph.

Anyone remember the reports of Scion bringing an AWD vehicle called the Scion xR in 2009? What happened to that vehicle?

anyone noticed the scion trend?

first two cars with a lot of mixed opinions, then a third car with more postive than negative feedback, then another two cars with a lot of mixed opinions, then yet another third car (if they release this) with more positive than negative feedback.

ionno, just something i observed...
