Scionlife sponsored TC makes it to Need for Speed

Anyone tried the PC demo? If you have, are you running an ATI card and having issues? Seems it's very common, looks like it's only really playable on Nvidia cards, due to PhysX implications. Guess I won't be buying the game.

This apparently, for those who havent read the other billion threads on the internet about it, is very functional since he broke the FWD time record at Willow and was only a few seconds faster than a purpose built NSX that was there that day. So I think we can stop questioning "functional" in this case ;)
Is it "practical" ? In this case, that all depends on rules for aero in the specific classes.
Is it "cool", "ugly", etc? This is the part I get so annoyed with. Who the hell cares if a race car looks cool? Racing has gotten commercialized enough without bringing looks into the equation. This isnt meant for the street, thus all the comments about "that looks lame" are pretty much useless.

what do you think those things on the front of an f1 car are called? Front wings. Maybe not the same layout as this.. But that is due to the way the car is built overall. Cant really put a front wing on top of the hood of a regular car since you couldnt see.. Thus it being raised up. And either way, you cant really compare what works on a fwd car to an f1 car.

Turn shadows completely off or max them out. Thats the only way its worked for me. Kinda disappointed with this game as well. Too many bugs and it definitely seems rushed. And for the PC you definitely need to have steering assist on at least low and pretty much need a racing wheel to be able to control your car completely... I like everything else about it though.

I found out that when playing the game after installing all the upgrades on cars, it was WAY WAY uncontrollable. I took a chance and set the settings to default and the car handled perfect. Then I just tweaked it a little bit to better suit my driving style and it was gravy. Having a 600+whp 350z to that game is basically a car that you can't drive, even with all the bells and whistles AND on Slicks. It was like it was on ice the whole time, which is just stupid to think it would not be driveable.

The crashing feels brutal... it feels like that car has the right weight physics... i love the crashing. but........ i cant keep the cars straight. its NOT because they have too much power! But there is wrong something on the handling. i keep going wall to wall ) side to side) and i cant find the center. its sux. oh every assist is off!

lol
I finally got pretty good at teh game but as for driving cars with 800+ plus HP... forget about it!
For the keyboard it has a lot of the first few settings at 0 and thats helped a bit. But with steering assists off its impossible to play without a wheel. I have steering assist on low and thats all.

Yeah it was no way to control the 350z with 600whp and no assist. So I turned the assist back on, set the tuning settings to default and then tweaked the car to give it more oversteer. Worked out pretty good that way, but still was a bit challenging. And I didn't get a sense that Slicks changed the grip of the car any. It still drove the same to me...anyone else get that felling?
