^ Our dealership is only open on Saturdays for weekends. Plus, the commission for Scions is VERY small compared to anything of any other cars on the lot. Like $100 or something.

$150 is the commission. Then if any accessories are purchased with the vehicle those get the salesperson some money too...

When I called (didn't visit so they could be just trying to get me there) I was told by Romano Scion in Syracuse Ny they had 8 tCs on the lot ready to go.

when we got our two 05's back in nov '04 we had to wait a couple of weeks to get the ones with the right COLOR AND SIDE AIR BAG option. Otherwise we could've had whatever they had on hand.

Haha... thing is that I'd feel bad about trying to sell the accessories to people b/c I'd be tempted to be like "you know... you could get ALL of these things cheaper online" ... but my wallet would be like "shut up! sell them all you can!"

That is so true! Sales get a lot of their commision on accessories. The place where i bought my '05 all their tCs have like a minimum $2000 worth of accessories already put into the car. Like mine has Leather seats, 6 cd changer, scion security and side air bags in it when i walk in. they only had 5 tCs when i called a week before and when i walk in they had two including mine. Same day i bought my BCP 05, another guy is looking at the SSM. The sales who sold me the car was actually from toyota not scion and he told me most of them get only $500 commision on all scions.

the dealer i got mine RS3 from doesnt keep any scions on the lot. which that made it really ahrd to get a test drive in a 5spd because if they did order one they got an auto cause they sell them faster. at most they have one (normaly an xB) i have never seen a tC or xA avaible for a test drive. I think that is how the number is so low cause they report the car on the lot of say 2 days. Its a pretty big dealer, the only toyota dealer for 30 miles in any direction.

I would never buy a car without test driving one but I know people who have. Gotta love dealer politics.

but wouldn't this also have to do with the fact that scions are built to order cars for the most parts, so when cars are dropped off, most of them are already spoken for. no?So its a in and out deal. Just my opinion

my dealership had 2 tC's, a xB and a xA to test drive. I got the xB as a loaner when they were fixing my poorly dealer installed sway bar. Fun car, i must say. Just needs vvtli ;)
