I don't know what it is but the stance looks raked a little, maybe?

here is the thinking of auto manufacturers. Honda example. Honda Fit is the same size as a 88 Civic. 06 Civic is bigger than a 88 Accord. So yeah, the new Scions will fatten up like the rest of America and they will get boring as well.

Raked to say the least...

Too long for me, but it's obviously a mule.

Any pics of the rear suspension setup? Leaf-suspension in the rear? Instead of the t2B-van, maybe we are seeing the t2b-cargo or mini-truck in test mule form.

Hmm, I'm indifferent. I like the idea of change, although I don't know if I like that. Maybe keep it looking the same, as far as size, and offer some extra goodies like a more powerful engine and maybe spruce up the styling a little.

Cool it guys. It's a mule. Ignore the lengthened body.

I think it's the ugliest thing I've seen In awhile (almost as bad as hondas element). The reason I bought an xb was the size. sure it could use alittle more room in the very back but you could always scoot the seating up a bit to make more room. not like I'd use the room for food. I'd jus stick another sub in it lol.

the xb needs an extra 80bhp and a trd supercharger add-on not more space!

I thought the next xB was the one that was shown at the Tokyo Autosalon. I really liked that one.

I use to work near the Hundai (Spelling??) test facility here in Socal. You would see twenty or so cars with thick mats over them come rolling in and out of the facility. A lot of Japanese companys test their cars here. You can find any type of driving you want from mountains to desserts etc. The companys also have design studios here to cater better to American tastes. Does anyone know where the Toyota test facility might be. I would volunteer to stake it out some day if I knew. I just can not believe that we need a bigger xB. Maybe it is designed as a Toyota. If it is to be a 2008 you would think it would not be out until early next year at the very earliest. I know there are a lot of folks who dont like the new bB, but it is really not that far away from the xB in size and appearance--just a evolutionary change.

Most likely. Manufacturers always use the current model to test future drivetrain, engine, suspension. Just like how Nissan is using the current G35 for their GT-R drivetrain testing.

Also keep in mind Soutern California is the mecca of testing vehicles for many automobile manufacturers.

This past weekend, the new E92 M3 was spotted in spy clothing (black masking/coverings) in Santa Barbara.

It's one of the nice perks of living in Southern Cal, especially Los Angeles. You'll see a lot of spy shots of vehicles being tested down here. I wouldn't doubt it for a second that it was being tested for a future Scion vehicle.

There will be no '07 models of the xB. Sorry to hurt any feelings or step on any toes. There will be a new release series for the xA and xB in the latter part of this year. Then the '08 replacements will come out in the early part of '07. The final release series will be WILD. Both will have paint jobs that are SICK. So, everyone save up to by the final release series...or the new '08s. Scion will stick to the 3 models so don't worry.

I agree about the mule. Look how raked and long that thing looks. Maybe they are testing a RWD setup.
