it's ugly
man i think it's ugly, hopefully its just a prank or some one is trying to come out with an eight seater version. bigger car + bigger engine + different drive train = the same as now.

I dont give a crap about this mysterious mule vehicle. Who knows what the hell it is. Is it just an xB body extended purely intended to test a new chassis/drivetrain combo? Or perhaps its a full test vehicle including body shape. I would say less than 20 people in the world know for sure at this point 100% and nobody on this forum is one of them. Scion has a strict policy about certain level employees monitoring forums such as this one. We can guess and speculate all we want, but in the end its just that. Guessing! I know what Ive been told by the Scion execs I work with and talk to. So far Ive been told the 2.4 engine will find its way into the 2nd Gen xB. Ive also been told Scion is kicking around the idea of a larger 4 door hatch model. Is the new xB that model? I dont know and I dont pretend like the limited info I have is the end all answer. Bottom line, just wait. The hard facts about this new xB will be out soon enough. I wont be reading anymore "speculation" threads....

I hope they don't give us an xB that has been extended with a 2.4-liter engine. If the xB got larger with the larger engine, it'd compete against the Mazda 5. I love the 5, but I love the smaller xB even more!
I think one of the reasons the xB has been successful is because they took a cool product that was already proven in Japan and sold it here with minimal changes. Personally, I wish we'd get the new bB, but I doubt that'll happen because I'd bet it's too radical for most Americans' tastes.
And frankly, I hope we don't get the 2.4-liter engine. I like the fuel economy of the 1NZ-FE. Heck, I wish it were better (like the 1ZZ-FE). I hope whatever they do, they keep the city gas milage above 30 mpg.

I'd imagine a body similiar to what's on the new Bb in the Japan, with an americanized drivetrain. The Corolla drivetrain sounds like a good plan, but more than likely it will be from whatever is going into the 2007 Corolla, whatever that is.

So, everyone save up to by the final release series...or the new '08s. Scion will stick to the 3 models so don't worry.

Indeed my good sir. This is what I understand. Region said its pretty much set in stone. But, the set in stone thing doesn't really apply with the everchanging Scion. We will allll see when they do actually get released. Speculating just makes everyone argue and disagree over what could/couldn't happen.
