It was a reliable source I cannot reveal but I don't think Foust would give up a Championship proven car for a comparably weak I4 It would be stupid for him But throw 800hp under the hood and now the tC looks good. But you will see

by 5.7L I'm talking about the new Tundra V8 which is the block used in NASCAR. I don't know whats more unbelievable the fact that you saw Jim Press in Blockbuster or the thought of a V8 in a tC but According to a Scion Rep that is what he said. But either way you won't be seeing a I4 in the Foust tC

Even if they DID manage to crowbar a 3UR-FE in with enough naughty bits to pump out twice the horsepower that engine normally puts out... it wouldn't even be the same car anymore, because they would have to reinforce or swap out pretty much every single component of the car to handle something like that.

Foust would give up a super powerful car for a relatively weak car for business gains. Hubinette I believe did something like that when he went from the well thought-out Viper to the still-too-heavy Charger.
Foust went from a 350Z to a tC correct? In each case 2 cylinders were lost. Well, either way, I don't much care. Drifting is more of an art than a power war (though the power ostensibly helps as in the case of the Viper vs like, a Hachiroku or something.)

Well we shall see the 2009 drift season is not that far but I doubt we shall see an I4 and if I remember correct at 2007 SEMA there was a xB w/ a twin turbo v8 so why cant they cram a V8 under the hood anything is possible with the right money and crew

I dont think any professional drifter outside Japan is skilled enough to take a 4 cylinder to the top of a championship points series (maybe except for Rhys Millen).
