It seems that you are arguing about something that I am not. Please re-read my posts carefully and understand that I am speaking like someone in the know.

I'm not just a salesperson, I'm the Truck Champion at our store, which means that I know more than you do about this truck, by design. I spent three days at the factory in Indiana, and have been inside and out of the truck. You are working off of a 'source' and 'speculation'. I am working off of fact and my own experiences. I have already seen and driven the new Crew Max with the 5.7L V8.

So, to reiterate: I never said that there will be a Crew Max long bed. There won't. I said that I have driven most models of the new Tundra, including the D-Cab, the D-Cab Long Bed, and the Crew Max. I have.

I appreciate the fact that you have a 'source' in Toyota, but when it comes to this new truck, the Truck Champions have more info because Toyota wants us to. You'll like the Crew Max at Detroit, I'm sure of it. I liked it in September when I took it through the slalom, the drag strip, and the skid pad.

For the record Im Not arguing plenty of that On the net I know a lot more about the Tundra as well and if you like go on Tundrasolution.com and Look at my post history about the 2005 Updates I mentioned IN march 2004 about the VVti and 5 speed trans I knew about those changes before the dealerships received any information about them. Yes I'm aware about Truck Champions from my source at Torrance California he did mentioned Certain Regional sales managers and Toyota sales rep's did get the Toyota training about the Upcoming 07 Tundra and Double Cab/Crewmax.
What I was confussed about on your post is the wording your calling the Tundra D and so fourth So excuss my Tone on my pasted Post please. Toyota really doesnt have the best Method on the name changes certainly it's Confussing as a current Tundra owner Myself and the translation on the 2007 code names.. When I attended Chicago to see the Double Cab which was the replaced for the access cab I was like what happened to the True 4 door based Tundra? My friend then mentioned to me about the Crewmax and toyota showing that at Detroit for 2007 so Yea I booked tickets because I wanted to see what Toyota has up there sleves Because Im a loyal buyer and Love the product.

Im currently on my second Tundra since the original 2000 got Totalled and My family is brand Loyal On there Avalons, Camry, Land Cruiser and scion Tc both my brothers have.

P.s what is the Hp rating on the new 5.7 liter V8? Hint even Toyota sales people have hinted to 381 HP we will see when the offical numbers are realeased from Toyota Motor Sales (TMS)......

I don;t know who was telling you the launch truck was going to be the biggest cab option.

regular cab , then the double cab which is actually slightly smaller than 06 double cabs , then teh cremax which will be THE largest cab on the market , yes bigger than the dodge mega cab

have any questions on any of said versions ask me.

oh and rumor has it that teh crew max will be available in two bed lengths . one 5.5 footer one 6.5 don;t know if this is solid or just guesses from the nor cal toyota truck program

I PROMOTE FOR TOYOTA.

The last "official" word was "HP between 380 and 400 and torque in excess of 400". Autoweek said 381 a week or two ago, and I'm guessing that maybe they accidentally let the cat out of the bag.

All I can say is that in a 1/4 mile, the Crew Max walked away from the Titan by 7 car lengths. Domination.

If Toyota would do with these trucks the same thing they are doing in the compact hybrid sedan segment, these thing would sell like hot-cakes.

I'm happy to report that the dealership that I used to manage the Truck and Scion departments at is floundering in BOTH regards.

The Tundras and the Scions are paperweights at that store, due to lack of leadership, lack of training, and general lack of smarts.

I'm happy that the truck is selling elsewhere. Awesome piece of kit, it is.
