*Post your Hoodpin Pics
If your running hoodpins, could you please post some up close pics? I have a cf hood on the way to replace my hail damaged stocker and would like to get some hoodpins for the extra safety. Looking for something minimal b/c I don't think I really like the look but do want the safety! Yes, I have searched! If you post a pic, please give brand, price, and where they can be found. I think a thread like this might help out a bunch of people as well. Thanks.

Well I have the sparco silver hood pins. They are more of a precaution than anything else. One horror story I heard was that a guy was driving in real hot weather and with him not knowing the carbon fiber peeled right off and smashed his windshield and top steel frame real good. He was in an acura. I'll try to post pics in a couple of days.

Just as an FYI the Pins only protect your car if the latch were to break. It's not like they are a theft deterrent or something. The hood still uses your stock latch. I've had the car for a year and didn't have them on before with no problems. Just got them recently because I moved to Tucson and have fear of wha the heat could do.

Yeah, I understand they are precautionary and everything. I take this car on 2000+ mile roadtrips so there is constant high speeds and so I think that hoodpins are probably a smart move to make. Hood is oem style seibon.
Really hoping to find something minimal to use and keep a clean look. Post pics if you got'em! thanks!

hmm. they sit a few mm's out.. those i got from 365motorwerks, they're the NRG ones.

they do produce more flush mount pins out there, but they require extensive install work.

sweet thanks for the link! definitely not looking for extensive install work for hoodpins. these just might do the trick, but i need to look into more options! I do like how they blend in with the hood compared to the metal ones.
