3000K daytime running lights
I am looking for a 194/168 bulb to use for the daytime running lights on my '07. I am obviously not looking for light output - I am just trying to replicate the 3000K color. I've seen people with green ones, blue ones, red ones, etc, but nothing really close to the look I want.
I have plain yellow/white bulbs in there right now, but they are kind of boring. I had hyperwhite prior to that and they were invisible in the daytime. I figured that a 3000K color will be more noticable in the daytime, while not being illegal.
This is the kind of color I am talking about (the yellow color):

i have 3000k high beam bulbs, i run those with my headlights on if it is foggy or gloomy such as a day today.
at night, i will run them too, so far i havent gotten in any trouble, but i am sure i will.

Hmmm, interesting. I might think about trying 3000K highs. Right now I have modified 9005 Silverstar Ultras in the high and low beams, but I wanted something a bit different. I kinda wanted to upgrade to the '08 lights, but I'm broke right now.
Anyway, any idea if a 3000K bulb exists for the DRLs? I looked but didn't find anything.

ummm, try nokya for yellow bulbs.
i had some yellow front turn signal bulbs, and i know that they do make yellow parking light bulbs, because i had them on my car for a while, you just have to look.
i had the silverstars in my car, however when it is foggy, you cant see ****, and thats the only reason i went with a yellow bulb.

Hey, good call on the Nokya bulbs. I searched for Nokya and I found "hyper yellow" in 194, then I also found "plasma ion yellow" from PIAA. It claims to be 2500K in color. I wasn't able to find anything before. I guess I was just searching for the wrong thing. Thanks for the heads up. I think I'll get a set of the PIAAs because I used their bulbs before with good results.

which every company you decide is up to you, PIAA is over priced, but if you like them, than thats your fancy.
all i can say is dont get LED's for those lights, they will not be as bright as halogens, and they will burn out.

Well I have LEDs in there right now. I have no problem with them burning out because I got LEDs with built-in heatsinks from autolumination. They have lasted months without burning out, but yeah, the light output is no good. LEDs are not suitable for lighting up the reflective housing because the light only goes in one direction.
