Default Aftermarket Fog Lights

I want to put fog lights on my tC. Anyone have a recommendation for which set I should buy? Also, should I put them on either side of the lower grill or is there another spot that could be used? To sum it up, I need help with the following:

1. Which fog lights to purchase?
2. Where/ how to mount?
3. What switch will look good in the factory blanks?

THANKS!

There's my PIAA 1451s.. they run about $160 for the kit, and $40 for replacement bulbs -- the bulb is the biggest part of the lamp assembly.. these shine dichroic yellow, but they also come in white. They put out a lot of light for a 55W bulb.

I installed the PIAA switch (which looks a little silly) cause I couldn't find a decent toggle that would fit-- I'm interested in a better switch, too.

I'll try and post more pics for you tonight.

Looks good. I was just checking out the PIAA 002's on tirerack. Found them on eBay for $50.00. Not too bad.

I bought a nice switch from painlesswiring.com for my Jeep a few years ago. It was heavy duty and it fit perfect. They might have something for the tC, although I haven't actually checked yet.

How did you mount them? Did you just have to drill some holes in the lower part of the bumper?

These switches might work...just need to get a measurement of one of the blanks on the tC's switch panel...

Best lookin set-up I've seen yet in a factory bumber is a set of fogs off of a Lexus IS300, they fit perfect in the factory holes, someone on this site has done it, I forget who...show yourself!

they fit perfect in the factory holes after extensive cutting of the bumper and molding an enclosure to mount them in the back.

Here's a better front view.. forgot to take a pic of the switch -- I was too excited about how clean my car was!! So shiny my camera's autofocus didn't quite work!!

... and one for you:

Currently, they are bolted on, but they are wiggling loose.. I'm going to re-mount them, move them back into the bumper about an inch and use double sided tape as well as the screws.

Enjoy,

OOooooo!, those IS300 fogs look great, but might be too much work for me to put in. I was thinking of getting some 2 inch aperture diameter Hella DEs (http://www.rallylights.com/hella/DE_Fog.asp) to put behind the stock black plastic covers at the corners of the lower bunper. It should be just the right size and all I have to do is cut some holes on the black plastic panels with a 2inch hole saw, but I do not see any thing in the space behind the bumper in this area to bolt the units on. I would most likely have to fabricate some extended brackets to anchor them down to something solid nearby.
I thought of getting the optional fogs from Scion, but I think the central placement of the Scion supplied fog light kit kinda messes up the clean look of the front end openings. Too close together!. The deeper and more discreet corner openings are better locations for fog lights, IMO.
Anyway, the Hella DEs won't be so ridiculously expensive like the Scion fogs. 300+ bucks!! Geeeyzzus!
