My fault. I just read what I just typed and that is funny. What I meant was, if there was a aftermarket link to that or somewhere else that is not at lexus dealer. Lexus jack up their prices that's why. Well,,, ebay it is. thanks

I realize this is an old thread, but could people either post links to topics I've missed, or... post pictures of there TC with the fog lights at night on the ground.

I am looking for a fog light that can be mounted in the side airdam, is yellow, and outputs the light very wide like a true fog light. And isn't that IS300 one, ick.

Thanks guys!

I have :

http://www.autobarn.net/opcarfibroun.html

You can see the output (which I'm still tweaking):

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...194&highlight=

I resprayed mine black, and I painted the inside of the lens with yellow stained glass paint to get them uber yellow. I'm toying with upping the wattage to 85 or 100 (as they are glass and metal powered straight off the battery).

What made you choose those over the Hella DE's? Price?

Do you know anything about the two to compare them, more then specs, or have pictures of the two?

Your's look pretty good, do you have a picture of it on the street showing how wide the light goes... if possible without the head lights on?

Thanks!

I don't have anything to compare them with. Specs. 55watts, projector housing, metal with a glass lense.

They are very wide beam, crystal cutoff line.

I'll try to take some open ground pictures tonight.

I actually don't think they are very bright, which is why I'm tempted to try upgrading the h3 crystal ion bulbs to 85w ones.

I brought these becuase they fit in the scope, they are hella and they are crystal ion, they are projector oh and most importantly of all they were cheap.

Putting them in the scope is a pain, access is minimal. I bolted mine in, so I had to drill holes (which is no real bother for me hell a new bumper is only a couple of hundred).

Wiring was a breeze once I stopped trying to be overly clever.

Anywho, more pix tonight is a more open space.

Ohhh and the hella DE. I was unable to find anything that justified the addition $100 (so they're made out of magnesium - oh my I must buy them... nope, I want something that the first time it gets hit by a big rock and smashes to pieces I won't be gutted.

If I was going big or going home, I'd be getting the PIAA Hid fogs.

See the link I posted above for some I already have up, and I'll add some more here later tonight (when it gets darker).

They are definatly wider than longer - which wasn't really what I wanted. I wanted long straight narrow beams - but I guess these might actually serve a better purpose.

They run 9006's ?

Did you get them for 120 with the harness and everything ?

I was always curious about the IS300 fogs, but the $160+ shipping on ebay, and then the though of having to get a harness, set of bulbs, and then cut up my bumper to get them in turned me off.

Maybe next year.

Although I hope by then someones making housings that slide perfectly into those scoops.
