Default Aiming projector Headlights help

Hey guys,

I just bought some new Spec D dual halo projector headlights. They look soo sexy. I just installed my HID's last night too, but the only problem is, is that the cutoff completely sucks. On the passenger side of my car it is completely aiming at the tops of houses. And on the right side of my car it is only going about 10 feet out in front of me, and it isn't even going very far left. In another words, with both lights on, it won't even light up the width of my whole street. Which can barely fit two cars down.

I'm pretty mad, considering that I thought these were gonna be good.

Does anyone know how to aim these? I know how to turn them up and down, but anyone know how to do them left and right???

I seriously need help!!
thanks in advance.

That is the problem with aftermarket headlights, the cutoff on all of them sucks. But yours does sound bad, you might want to see if you have the bulbs in straight.

Why would you ever want to cut off the cutoff shield?

How much does retrofit cost?

Either a retrofit, not sure how much that would cost or get 08-10 headlights

if you are talking about the projector headlights u can get off of ebay, i have the same ones, if you look in the back of the headlight there is a grey dial with a screw in the middle you want to turn the dial to adjust the aiming of the headlights, i had the same problem until i did that.. if u need a picture of what im talking about LMK and ill post it up but that should fix your problem

No, i know how to aim the light up and down, just not left and right. the right side shines really far left, and the left side barely shines out of my car. almost completely straight. So the entire left side of the road is not lit up. Does that make sense?

They are projectors and the cutoff is way better than the ebay lights. Yes they will fit, only difference is the bulbs are H11.

08 headlights aren't cheap though, new they are like 250 each side. No it really doesn't make a difference that you go them there. No aftermarket headlight has a good cutoff that I have seen.

Like I mentioned before, you might want to see if you can move the bulbs around. You might not have them in there perfect

Damn!
Wouldn't it be cheaper to retrofit then? and with a retrofit would it have a clean cutoff? Idk, this all just got really confusing hah.

If you all were to recommend to either buy the 08-10 headlights or retrofit, which would you choose to do?

Yes they are very reliable. Maybe you can post some pics of how bad it is?

Oh i definitely will! I will have them up by tomorrow! so right now, just warning everyone, don't buy halo headlights from Spec D tuning. They are all for show, and that's about it...

Thinking about getting the 08-10 projectors now or getting them retrofit with lightwerkz.net

check this guys out! I love it: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=147363

Are the oem ones easy to aim? or do they even need aiming?

Okayyy...so I have my pictures! I just took them. I figured out why some of the light is so effed up. The bulb itself isn't fitting correctly for some reason on the drivers side. I would push down on the bulb and it would make a huge difference (wider and better cutoff) I don't know how to fix this though. It is the type with the spring that snaps over the bulb, not the twist like the stock headlight.

anyways, tell me what you think. Here are my pics. I know...they are soo FUBAR!!

Wow those are pretty bad, Lol. Now these aren't the best pics because I dont have a good camera or a good spot around school. These are 08s with 4300k HIDs.
