question. tried to find some info on HID lights for my tc. I have the 08 model projectors on mine. (i believe at least, bought it used) Some of the things ive read about HID lights in those housings mentioned that the housings burn from the lights heat? how true is that? and where is a good spot to mount them in a tc? cant find a spot that sticks out to me.

HID re-based bulbs (H11) will burn the chrome inside the halogen projectors eventually, as for the housing, probably wont be hot enough.

Best Place to mount the relay harness cubes:

Yes, have them retrofitted with HID projectors, then you can use REAL OEM QUALITY bulbs which run cooler, stay true to the color purchased, and put out 3000+ lumens each.

Here's a good place to learn about HID's

The stock halogen projector needs to be replaced with a True HID projector w/ clear lens for the best output.

nevermind i lied. still have some. is there a way to tell the difference between them? got my car used and the projectors were put on buy the previous owner. Is it written somewhere on there or some sort of clue to tell if they are halogen or hid projectors before i go out and buy a new set?
