I was wondering if anyone besides Koenigsegg makes a door kit that does the same thing. The way the door opens is hard to describe so here's a pic.



I think it'd be pretty sweet to have doors that open like that. I know extensive modding would be required, just curious if anyone knows of a kit to accomplish this. Thanks

with tC's large heavy doors... i would say no

yeah, I'm sure the doors are way to heavy and or the mechanism to accomplish this would be way too bulky to work.

lol, in that case, will those brakes fit in the stock wheels? j/k but yeah, any way to make it possible? anyone make CF doors yet?

Considering that Koenigsegg said that they made the most complicated door opening mechanism ever, I doubt anyone will duplicate it. Saw a 10 minute video on the car on a tv show once. Anyone who would attempt to mimic it would be crazy.

I don't think it would be that complicated to recreate. if you tackle the door in three different components.
1. It swings out just a bit to clear the door skin and the car
2. It flips vertical
3. It slides forward.

Now if you can make one hinge to do all that it will automatically be in one motion. The hard part would be designing the door skin to fit the hinge. And again, the door weighs 4 tons on a tC, and maybe about a feather of a hummingbird on the Koenigsegg. And once again, anyone make a CF door? it'd be simple to do. If they can make CF hoods and lips and a Koenigsegg CCR, I think they could make a pretty flat door. Also, anyone know if they've tried to honeycomb carbon fiber like they did fiberglass in the 60's on the Le Mans race cars?
