Yellow is better for bad weather conditions which is why some manufacturers use yellow as their FOG LIGHTS.
Yellow light will bounce off water(rain) and will penetrate foggy conditions better than white/blue

Whenever you turn on your headlights without the fogs, you will see a non-lit section in front of your bumper. That is called foreground. Now, when you turnon your fogs, such space will be filled with light coming from the fog setup. And under bad weather condition, you drive slow thus you need the most light in front of your bumper to see what's ahead.
