I bought a 9006 HID kit from mobilehid a while ago and they are in my stock '05 tC lamp housings. So if i wanted to install '08 projectors in my car and use my current HID kit, it would be impossible because my current kit doesn't fit into the '08 projectors..is that correct? So i'd need to buy a new kit to fit in the projectors?

I guess the only reason i'd buy Anzos then would be because i think they are compatible with the '05 tC bulb sizes and i don't want to have my current HID kit go to waste.

Could somebody please let me know if what i said was correct?

Thanks!

I am pretty sure you could keep the ballasts but you would have to get the H11 bulbs.

You would only need new bulbs, not an entire kit. Just swap the 9006 bulbs for H11 and everything will work with 08 headlights. Bulbs are only $50-60, and the 08's are much better than the Anzo projectors. The extra money is easily worth it.

That's correct. The only way you'd be able to use the current HID's is if you switched the projectors or you got an adapter and then got the right bulbs.

The Anzo's are still cool if you upgrade em because they are very much like your stock '05's. I'd double check to make sure the bulb sizes are the same though...I know the high beams on teh Anzo's are different.

Wow!...thanks guys! You are correct, i would just need to buy the H11 bulbs to fit into the '08 projectors. I think i'll eventually buy the projectors from trdsparks..unless anyone knows somewhere cheaper!..

trdsparks is the cheapest place I've seen unless you're able to find them being sold here used. I think you'll be happy with you 6000k HID's on the 2008-09 tC projector heads...I've seen pix comparing to 05-07 and its so much cleaner...not to mention less glare.

Go with a retrofit in 05-07 headlights with an eyebrow and angel eyes.

Just do what I'm doing, get yourself a pair of 2008-09 tC heads, and bake them open along with your stockies you have and just swap the sheilds.

Hahaha, just throwing it out there. In all honesty, I don't know if you need the nipple in the lense or not, but if you want to get ride of it, that would be an easy way.

Since ya jumped up, do you know if the nipple in the lense is needed for the projectors to work correctly? Honestly, I am curious.

I only read the first page and most of the comments lack real knowledge.
What nipple in the lense are you talking about?

Oh, my bad my bad...I thought you were talking to me at first.

Yeah, the nipple thing is the bulge that is in the lense on the 2008-09 headlights. Some like it, some don't. I'm looking into getting rid of it by swapping my 2005-07 headlight lense into the 2008-09 housing. Should fit exactly.

that "nipple" is nothing. It does not affect output at all. And if it does, it's so minimal you wouldnt even be able to tell unless you take pictures and enhance them pixel by pixel on a 60 inch 1080p Hi-def monitor

Alright, well that settles things. Good-bye "nipple"!

its more then a nipple, its an A-cup stuck to the front of the headlight.

i read somewhere that someone tried to fit the old cover over the new headlights and it didnt fit, not at all sure though.

i just installed 6k hids on my 08 last night. holy crap i wasnt expecting that big of a change. question though, i bought from mobile hid and some how i ended up with 2 extra identicle small cables left over and i dont know where they are suppose to go. the headlights work and it has the inline fuse and the relay and all that good stuff but i dont know what these extras are for? are they universal wireing kits and they just come with different bulbs perhaps?
